It worked!!! OMG...
I was reading mixed reviews about these kind of cv tool product. In the end, I thought I would give this a try, and then return it if it didn't work. I chose this because it came with a sample stretch boot that I could compare/assess (which I could also use someday) the tool's potential. Upon comparing the boot, the sample stretch boot was close enough (in terms of elasticity) to the one I already purchased which is a different size. It worked with my Flexx boot FB3002 (Astoria). One thing is that this tool should only be used with those "stretch" cv boot kind, the one that is designed to stretch into a funnel. There are several brands that sell these kinds of stretchy/elastic boot. This tool came with air tool nozzle/connectors, some small rubber washers (still not sure if I correctly used the rubber washer/gasket for its purpose), and a pin (which I don't know what it's for). So, what I did is I used the small rubber washer/gasket by inserting one into the the tool air hole before I threaded the air nozzle. I'm thinking that this gasket will be sandwiched by the tool and nozzle as it is tightened enough. I also tefloned the nozzle threads. The housing is plastic so be careful not to overtighten and/or cross-thread the nozzle. Also, made sure tool was cv boot loaded before trying/testing because didn't want to risk breaking any seals/components pressurizing the tool without any compression load. Lubed claws with vegetable oil, inserted cv boot, and ...zoila, it worked!!! (My operating pressure was set to 95 psi.) I also openned (pressurized) it just enough to get it into the axle joint, since I don't want to over-stress, and over-stretch the boot. Once in, then situate the axle joint to be able to close the claws as much as possible. But then it still takes a bit of an effort to slide it out of the claws because you can't close the claws completely when the axle joint is still in it. But it sure is easier sliding it out of the claws into the shaft, than, sliding the boot through a funnel (which I've tried and considered it hopeless before purchasing this tool)!!! I mean you have to take the axle out to use the funnel based on my attempts. So this tool is heck of a lot better than taking the whole axle out of the vehicle, ...especially if it is the passenger side (or the long side of) the axle!!! Woohoo...!!!

Skip it, get something stronger.
Only works on soft universal silicone boots. Not worth buying if you intend to use neoprene boots or OEM quality boots.

Hot garbage
This worked with the supplied boot that was ripped one the first expansion. Tried to use an all ballz boot on it and it would only open about 2 inches. Save your money.
