It actually seems fairly sturdy
I put off buying a die-cast Dusty based on previous reviews, but our 2-yr old grandson loves Disneyâs Cars and Planes. We got him a set of die-cast Cars vehicles, but Lightningâs wing (spoiler) which is plastic broke off in a week. But he still likes it so much that our daughter says heâs got it in his hand when he goes to bed. So I thought he would really like Dustyâs but there are more things to break.Because I found a Dusty at a discount rather than the $17-20 it usually is listed for, I decided to take a chance. The good: it does seem sturdy, it also seems like the manufacturer and sellers took note of previous reviews and used two pop rivets to connect the wings to the fuselage. The not so good: still carelessly packed. It came in a bubble wrap envelope, but it was intact although the antenna and prop blades were really bent. After a few hours, they seem to be straightening out. At least those parts are flexible plastic. The landing gear struts are also plastic, not as flexible as the other parts, so they could break. And Iâm not sure how well the rivets will hold after the plane gets dropped a few times. Also, donât expect it to be 8â x 11â; the sellerâs dimensions are metric. Itâs closer to 3â x 4â.I donât know if all sellers have the improved version with rivets. I guess Iâll find out. I bought the last one from this seller, but bought another for our other grandson from a different seller that will arrive later

Cheap
Broke within two days. Seems like itâs almost part of another toy because of how the bottom of the plane is shaped. Shouldnât break so easily, was barely played with
