Cheap and cheerful to expand your battery life.
Arrived today, this dual battery extension pack does fit onto my Canon 77D, although isn't perfect, but at this price I'd imagine you wouldn't think it would be.Tightening up the grip still allows a tiny bit of movement which can upset the battery connection, but while you don't have to treat it with kid gloves, you don't want it banging about either. When the lead is connected to the camera, the button on the grip kinda works, however, it doesn't seem to focus with a half press, this could be user error, or a setting in the body I'm unsure of, but that'll need more playing about. My batteries were snug getting into the grip so no issue there so far, and the material is quite pleasant.Essentially, this is a cheap and cheerful option to double your battery life by allowing the camera to work on two batteries and not one. Is it perfectly flush? no, does it feel like pro gear? obviously not, but does it do most of what it's intended to do? Yes.If anyone does have any tips on getting the grip button to focus on a half press I'd love to hear about it.

Does what it's ment to do
For the price it is worth the money. I've had a third party battery grip for other cameras. Last was the 60d. The grip for the 60d was great quality, also had AA port in case the original batteries failed.Unfortunately this battery grip doesn't come with the AA slide in for using AA battery. The other thing I find really bad in this design is the button on the grip that is there for shooting a vertical position doesn't work!! I'm not sure if mine has a fault or it's there for show!! My previous grip had this button and worked perfectly. It's a lot easier when this feature works as it makes for fast shooting if you are on a job etc.If you are looking for a grip that adds 2 batteries an better bulk griping, then this is worth the money. If you need the added features like a working button and emergency AA battery slot then don't buy this!!

Low quality and doesn't work
Once the battery grip is attached the pin that is meant to press on the switch to let the camera know that the battery door is shut doesn't push the switch far enough. Without this the camera will not turn on. By removing and re-attaching a few times I can get it to make contact but then as soon as you move the camera it breaks contact and the camera turns off again.

Contacts are not good
Needs fiddling to get the camera to accept having an official battery and an off-branded one.Shutter button works but feels flimsy.**When holding the camera vertically, the contacts with the camera often comes loose and shuts off, very unhealthy for the camera.**Build quality feels plasticy.

Useless garbage?
Two fully charged batteries, camera on, everything connected, but the connection is so loose with the grip and the batteries, or the grip and the camera, that the camera turns on maybe 5% of the time I want it too. Not even good as a grip, as it doesn't let the camera turn on

worked ok for a day or two, then started to lose connection. I've tried a couple of these third party grips now without success, 1 was doa, then this that only lasted a couple of days. Canon don't do a grip for the 77d
