A Review
REASON FOR PURCHASE - I had some disposable income and wanted an upper-mid-range gaming desktop. I went with MSi, because I currently own and use an MSi Stealth 15 laptop, which has served me well for almost 1.5 years.INITIAL IMPRESSIONS - I really liked the case. It was a cohesive design of metal, plastic, and glass. It was assembled with brand name components (primarily ADATA & MSi), and the cabling was competently done.PROBLEMS - For several days, I had to troubleshoot one particular issue, which was that it randomly crashed to black. It wasn't a reboot or BSOD, but simply a black screen. It wasn't a power setting matter, since I disabled sleep. Re-seating the internal cables helped briefly, but the issue came back. Re-installing Windows 11 did not help either.RETURN - I was more or less resigned to returning this troublesome PC after a week. It wasn't worth the hassle to troubleshoot it any further - I didn't buy a pre-built PC to do the QA process on behalf of MSi.ALTERNATIVE - Ultimately, I purchased all the components to build a PC myself and did so once it arrived. It took me approximately 2.5-hours to complete. It booted the first time and hasn't given me any issues - it has now been a week. Here is what I purchased off Amazon:- Corsair 4000D Airflow Mid-Tower ATX Case - Black.- WD 2TB SN770 NVMe Gaming SSD. x2- Corsair RMX Series 1000 Watt, Gold, Full Modular PSU.- Vetroo V5 CPU Air Cooler.- Intel Core i5-13600K.- GPU Support Bracket by BERLAT.- Noctua NF-P12 Cooling Fans. x3- Corsair Vengeance DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) 4800 CL40. x2- PNY GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB.- ASUS Prime Z790-P ATX Motherboard. The 1000 WATT PSU is overkill, but the 850 WATT I initially picked wouldn't have arrived for 2-weeks. So I went with whatever was available to ship immediately. For gaming @1080p and lower heat generation, I think my component picks are fine. It also came out to be $250 cheaper than the MSi Aegis RS.RECOMMENDATION - I cannot in good conscience recommend this MSi Aegis RS Pre-built PC. I developed some brand loyalty initially thanks to my MSi laptop, but I guess I should be more decerning. If you can build the PC yourself, consider going that route like I have. But if you're going the pre-built route, avoid this model at all cost.

Not a advertised - updated
Well, the good news is, this computer is a beast. The bad news is mine came with less than advertised. It came with windows 11 home instead of pro. It also came with 4 sticks of ram instead of 2 (so now i can't upgrade). When i tried to do a clean install of windows 11 pro i got BSOD. Both MSI and Microsoft tech support recommended i return the computer (there was some issue with the windows store not being installed that prevented an upgrade). So i did and ordered a new one. Now to wait another week...Update: So i got my replacement. Had the same issues as last time. Called, MSI, they are sending me a flash disk with the windows 11pro image and all drivers installed. However, i did not want to wait and did some sleuthing on the internet. Here's the fix: install xbox app. After you do that, it will tell you that you need another app to make it work. This is where it gives you the option to install the windows store. Do that. Then you go to activation under your system settings, and upgrade to windows 11 pro. Takes less than 10 minutes total.

Don't waste your time
I've had an msi laptop for years always recommended msi to anyone I know finally saved up and was so excited to finally get a desktop. I was like a kid on Christmas when it arrived started updating Nvidia and boom crashed! Blue screen please repair...Called msi they said meh it happens windows 11 sucks she's Fried gotta send er back.. already sold my laptop and am computer less and at first I was so mad they wouldn't send me a replacement they said they can only give a refund so now it will be another month before I can get a new one...but now I'm happy it's just a refund I'm not buying msi again

Be careful about their descriptions. Even if they are wrong they will not fix it.
I bought this machine directly from the MSI store. Just like here, it says Windows 11 Pro. Mine came with Windows 11 Home. MSI tech support sent me to the store support who sent me back to tech support who said they can't do anything unless I RMA it. They said it might work if I clean install a new copy of Windows since the motherboard should be registered for 11 Pro.The store page also says, 32gb ram (2x16gb) Mine came with 4x8gb so there is no room for expansion. I was informed by MSI that it was a mistake in the store add and 4x8gb was correct, and they aren't doing anything about it. So, In short, two seemingly simple issues and no real help.Update: Going to the windows store to upgrade Windows 11 Home to Pro, resulted in Microsoft's system recognizing that this motherboard should have had Windows 11 Pro and it did not charge for the upgrade. It also did not clean install, so everything remained and it unlocked the Windows 11 Pro correctly. Thank you Microsoft.

Avoid this machine
Pros: When it decides to work it’s good and it looks niceCons: Constant crashes, this thing is unstable. Send it to be fixed by MSI and they didn’t even cover the shipping costs (250+ dollars). The machine is a headache and so is MSI they don’t really or provide any helpful service.

Fantastic computer, exceeded my expectations
I'm very impressed with this build - it's quiet and everything works right out of the box. I was pleasantly surprised by both the keyboard and mouse included. I initially thought the set would come with a basic keyboard and mouse, but they turned out to be great! I didn't even bother connecting my Razer. I am extremely satisfied! Kudos to MSI! This isn't my first piece of their tech, but the Trident model was not as good (mainly due to the cooling system).
