I installed this (easily) by my bedroom door and have a rechargeable lantern/night light resting on it. Would love to have seen it offered in a more natural/light wood finish, but it 100% serves it purpose and I'm glad to have found it. It did 'drop' a little after installed. I had to put a shim under the back edge to get it to back to even. I imagine if I had installed it with the lip facing upward this wouldn't have been an issue.

I was pleased on how easy they were to install and how they look. I will definitely be using them in another room.

I ordered 6 total of the gray 8x4 shelves. I installed them “upside down” so know that’s an option. The shelf has more room on the display side if installed with the screws under rather than on top (instructions show installation with screws on top). I am pleased with them; they work for exactly what I needed them for - to mostly display small handmade ceramic art. They are rustic looking. The stained gray that I ordered turned out to be a dark brown shade with no actual gray, however the brown is very ash color with no gold tones, so it worked for me. ( I did not order the lighter gray that is more painted looking, that’s a different option). I installed quickly into drywall using the provided drywall anchors and screws, and I also used a drill which made the install very fast. Looks great!

This is a well-made sturdy little shelf. It also came very securely packed by the seller with hardware for hanging. I got the brown one. * Just be advised that these are wooden shelves with natural knots, seams, etc., in the wood grain*. I returned the first set due to deep grooves in the wood, but the replacement set arrived with a much smoother look and no "seams". I still would recommend these cute shelves.

I don’t normally write reviews but I had to for this one. First thing is that when you click on the color, the photos don’t show you what they look like and I thought it would be okay to get coffee color to match some of my other wood things and it was extremely dark. The quality of these shelves feels very cheap. On the ends of the shelves it looks like there’s glitter on certain ends that doesn’t come off and the color doesn’t match the rest of the shelves as it is much lighter. The corners of the shelves are cut differently as one is more square and the other is rounded. There are chipped marks in certain spots. There is also a spot on one shelf that looks like it might be glue ?? These will be returned.
