So far, so good!
Got this adapter for the PC I use while working from home. The layout of my house means I don't have very many options for where to place my router, and I've been struggling with a weak wifi signal lately while trying to work. This adapter was more expensive than some of the others I was looking at (one review even called out another brand as one to avoid and I happened to have that device in my cart already LOL) but other consumer feedback led me to go ahead and splurge on it. So far, this thing is a miracle worker. It was really easy to set up—you can either plug the adapter directly into your computer, or set it in its cradle and plug the cradle in with a cable, so there's some adaptability depending on your workspace setup. It easily picked up my home wifi network(s) and connected with no problem. I ran a quick internet speed test after getting it set up and I've literally never seen my speeds so high in my life. Definitely looking forward to not getting kicked out of my remote computer or Teams calls anymore.

Game-Changer for My WiFi Speeds!
This adapter is an absolute beast. I was skeptical at first, but after plugging in the A8000, I saw an immediate jump in my download speeds. My old adapter barely kept up, but this one consistently delivers fast, stable connections—even on the crowded 6GHz band.Streaming in 4K? No problem. Downloading massive files? Blazing fast. It’s honestly like I upgraded my whole internet setup just by adding this one piece of gear. Setup was easy, drivers installed quickly, and it’s been rock-solid ever since. If you're looking to future-proof your setup or just want a serious boost in performance, this is it.Highly recommend—worth every penny.

Solid, dependable usb wi-fi adapter
This is a month-long use review, as I wanted to wait for a few weeks before posting my impressions. This adapter installed easily (Win 10), and it has functioned very reliably. It does require software to install (included on a thumb drive in the package), but it didn't require much in the way of expertise to initiate. I'm getting excellent speeds for upload/download (1200/1200 Mbps) as reported by advanced properties within network properties in the 'network and internet settings' module in Windows. Recommended.

Works PERFECTLY on Windows 10 & 11. Super Fast, very happy. Much better than others I tried.
AMAZONG! Works perfectly. Very impressed. I couldnt' get Ethernet to the area where I needed the PC to function and this has come in great. I play a lot of Steam games and no lag!

Works great on Arch
I used this to replace an old garbage Wi-Fi card in an obsolete form factor installed in an old Dell laptop. This works great, nice speeds and latency. No special driver garbage under Linux. The base is stable and the cable included is a pretty nice length so you can set it off to the side. It does take up some vertical space when you unfold it for the antenna, but if you are using it on a desk, it shouldn't get too much in the way.

Solid WIFI option.
We picked this up because we could figure out what was wrong with my nephew’s WiFi card.We have a gigabit fiber internet and his downloads speeds are always over 400mbs +.I highly recommend this for WiFi connections.

Complete insanity and an Update
The product was great And worked as advertised. Unfortunately you cannot register it with Netgear as the Company website cannot recognize the serial number printed on the box. It maintains that the products country of is incorrect. Because the serial number is not valid you cannot file an action with Customer Service since the serial number is not recognized by Netgear. I doubt that Amazon is selling fakes but it appears that I am cut off from software updates, firmware updates and any advice from Netgear because they cannot recognize the serial number printed on the box housing the product. This has been an amazingly painful customer experience. After calling Netgear and complaining about my experience I found and CSR who was willing to help solve my problem. The same Serial Number that was rejected when I used it worked for her and the product is now registered. However, the experience with the actual install worsened.Although the installation software indicates that it will disable other Wi-Fi adapters, it did not do so, as there was a low speed Intel modem integrated in the PC motherboard that I had to disable. After doing that I found that the AXE3000 was not working correctly and that there had been an update to the installation software, although I had used the fob included with the product for the install (and it was this that was out-of-date). So I installed the new software and somewhere in the process other software on the computer was damaged.I was moving a computer for my spouse's use to a room she had chosen that did not have a LAN connection so I thought the AXE3000 would be a good choice. It was for most things as its speed is quite high. However, somewhere in the process the installation damaged data for Battlenet and Worlds of Warcraft and the game (played by my spouse for two decades) is now unplayble and I am unable to find a fix. Thanks Netgear.

Good to great performance
Easy to connect and the default settings provided adequate performance. I s o ent a few minutes customizing the hardware settings (e.g., preferred band, channel width) and the performance increased significantly.
