This has arrived just as I thought that my old knives had their day. I used the coarse setting first and you can see fine steel shavings collecting in the groove. Then move over to the fine setting to get that sharp edge. It's much better to extend the life of the knives I've been used to for so long rather than go out and buy new knives.

It sharpens very well but the job is sometimes done by a man, my hands are too big for the glove supplied

This sharpener is roughly the same size as my sharpening stone. I used to manually sharpen all of my knives with that stone but this is lighter and faster, also much more consistent than I ever could have been. Very useful in my workplace.

Can't say it's been great... Seems to do nothing for the serrated knives.. Others are slightly improved, but not by much.

Its better than all the previous sharpeners I have had but I still don't get the results I expect, I follow the instructions but never get the sharpness I expect, perhaps I am just not doing it right but I wouldn't recommend it.

Very pleased,same as other customers i had a few blunt knives,one of my favourites i use daily was the worst so did this one first and it did the the job i now have a lovely sharp knife,now to start on the others.
