Was originally shopping for just an outlet tester, but then saw this listing which also included GFCI test and separately, a non contact live voltage tester. For the price, this kit can't be beat for what you get and it's a reliable brand.The receptacle tester is easy to use. The led readings are easy to see and definitions are clearly printed on tool. The non-contact also works well, but took a few tries to understand how it works. I has tested on an outlet and it showed no voltage when inserted into the grounded side of the outlet, which makes sense but not something I was thinking about initially. It of course beeped when I inserted in the hot side. Just noting here that it's important to test multiple wires.Very happy with my purchase.

The plug tester is great. Easy to read, easy to use, gives you the information you need with no frustrations.The line tester is pretty good, but the reason for the 4 star review. Needs a stronger active electric field to go off. I would have to rub the tip against the wire to see it go off, not just tap the wire like other models i've used. So, i'm not always 100% sure i have a dead wire unless i spend a few more seconds on the wire. It works well enough, but i'd prefer something that instills a bit more confidence through a little more sensitivity.

Honestly, as someone who is trying very hard to diy and learn am much as possible, these tools were a game changer. Absolutely fantastic entry-level tools (can't speak for professionals). I'm nervous about working on electrical projects and these tools gave me the peace of mind and confidence in my work.

These are simple and easy to use. Touch the probe to a wire and see if its live. In the past, if a wire was coated with drywall mud as sometimes happen in a newer house, it was hard to use my old tester to see if it was live. With this, touch the porbe to wire and you know instantly.I have used the plug in electrical tester to check polarity and check an outlet. I have a combo leaf blower vacuum and if the vacuum attachment is not put on just exactly, it won't turn on, even though it looks like it fits correctly. Not sure if its the vacuum or the gfi outlet. With the tester it's a snap.

Just the name alone should tell you what you're getting. Great testers and they work as expected. I like the ground fault disrupt feature of the three prong testers, that sends a fault signal through the outlet and trips it as well as breaker.Excellent testers, that I highly recommend.

Liked this so much I bought one for a family member who moves a lot. Perfect for checking all the receptacles and switches in new apartments. Definitely part of a home maintenance kit and priced right. Remove batteries when in storage. Highly recommend.
