Good value overall
The base does not have non-slip pads but is nicely enamelled and substantial. The rod is fine although you need a spanner to fit it properly as the tool in the description is not supplied. The rings are fine. The clamps are usable but not high quality. All in all worth it for the base and rod, consider the other parts as a bonus.

Good quality stand for the price
The base is solid and easy to assemble (just need a wrench), it has a good weight so should not tip over, the accessories are usable but not the best quality, this is kind of to be expected though.

Ideal as a coffee pourover stand
Bought this having worked in a lab previously and used this kind of thing in the past thinking I could use it as a stand for pourover coffee making (e.g. Hario V60 or similar) as depending on how many people I make coffee for, I use different sized vessels so most pourover stands aren't height adjustable. I'm pleased to say it worked out perfectly - room for a large (Zojirushi) flask on top of some Brewista scales with room to spare, and equally suitable for making directly into a mug for a coffee for one. Save yourself some money on fancier, less flexible options with some industrial chic! Endorsed by a former chemist :)

It does what it is meant to do
Great for what I wanted it for. Coped with the job in hand. This is an item if you need it then you need it. You know what it's for. The solid base is quite able carry weight.

Cheap and nasty
Very poorly made of cheap tin. Big disappointment
