I love this. I got it because I was worried about kiddos putting water in the microwave to heat it quickly for things like tea and hot cocoa. It's simple enough that even my youngest can use it without worry. The blue LED lights come on when you turn it on and stay on until it's done boiling and shuts itself off. The kiddos and I have used it almost non-stop. Kettle size is great for us, It allows each of the 5 of us to have a cup of tea or cocoa without wait and it comes to a boil very quickly. Love all the colors it comes it and its a good value for the money spent.

This is the second time I’ve purchased this kettle in the past four years, and I couldn’t be happier with its performance. The first one lasted me about 3.5 years, which I think is fantastic given how much I use it. Every morning, it’s my go-to for making coffee in my French press, and it easily gets used at least one more time throughout the day.The fast boiling feature is a lifesaver, and the glass design makes it easy to see how much water is left. It’s simple to use, looks great on the countertop, and the automatic shut-off feature adds peace of mind.For the price and the amount of daily use it handles, lasting 3.5 years is more than reasonable. It’s such a great value that I didn’t hesitate to buy the same one again. Highly recommend it to anyone who needs a reliable and efficient electric kettle for everyday use!

I forgot to review this product and looked it up to purchase one as a gift. And realized I bought it in 2019?! It’s still going strong. Heats water up quickly. Easy to clean. And the auto off feature and LED light both still work. It’s been a great value for me. Would highly recommend.

I bought this electric kettle because our old one spontaneously died and this was the only model I could find that fulfilled my requirements for a new one: a concealed heating element, automatic shut-off, and a mouth wide enough for me to reach inside with my hand for scrubbing.Beyond that, it's a nice looking counter appliance. It's neat being able to watch the water boil through the glass, and the blue LED indicators are a nice touch. It gives it a friendly, futuristic feel. It boils nice and quickly, too.The only con, and this is minor, is that the black Ovente logo smudges and smears if you touch it or wipe it down while the unit is still warm. It makes for an ugly spot on what is otherwise an attractive piece.Also note: The "max" line is for real. If you fill it even a little bit beyond that line, it will spill onto the counter when it boils.UPDATE: After a few months of ownership and daily use, I have another "con" I need to list; once it has boiled once, it will not turn on again for several minutes, presumably because its thermostat thinks it is still at boiling temperature. I find this unfortunate, and my previous kettles with automatic shut-offs did not exhibit this behavior.Use case: When I want to make a pitcher of hot tea, my tea pitcher is a half gallon. This thing only holds 1.5L, which is just over 3 quarts. With previous electric kettles, I used to be able to boil a full pot, start the tea steeping, and then quickly boil another quart to top it off while the infusion was still taking place. With this new kettle, that is no longer possible, as it takes several minutes for the kettle to become usable a second time, and by then it is too late.While disappointing, this use case failure is not going to be a deal-breaker for everyone. One wonders, though, why this thermostat detects so much residual heat after a boil, even after cold water has been poured in, so as to prevent consecutive boils. Perhaps they could get the design team to correct this in future revisions.UPDATE 2:This just died today, 12/20/2016. It was purchased in April 2015. So it only lasted a disappointing ~20 months of daily use.I guess the next pertinent question is, "Knowing this, would you lease an electric kettle for ~$10 per year?".I suppose I would, but, really there is no excuse for these things not lasting longer. They aren't like brake pads, which, by design, get progressively worn out as part of their normal use; Electric appliances should not need to be so frequently replaced.Unfortunately, all electric kettles seem to be rife with reviews that tell of early failure. So, perhaps this is one of those "they don't make things like they used to" rants. Obviously I need a way to boil water. Microwaving is out of the question, and a traditional stovetop kettle would use more electricity and boils more slowly. So... I either buy another one of these, or play roulette with another brand. Such is 21st century consumerism.

I bought the white kettle, and it is sleek with a blue light that illuminates when boiling. Kettle worked well several times a day for 11 months then stopped connecting to the charging plate. The kettle did work hard on the daily so if you only boil water a couple times a day you will probably get a longer life span than I did.Also note the wall plug sticks out of the wall and does not lay flat and takes up too much room on the counter. Design would be much better if the plug was flat/flush with wall.

I initially purchased this kettle in 2018. And when I say this kettle was well used, I mean it. It was used pretty much everyday, sometimes multiple times a day. It finally kicked the bucket today. And for under $22, I'd say I got bang for my buck! I've got another in my cart as I write this.This kettle heats up SO fast, and is so easy to use. Much faster than boiling a pot of water in the stove. The water capacity is perfect, allowing me to boil enough water for one cup of tea, or at couple cups for guests. It's very easy to clean, and maintain. And the color stayed as vibrant as the day it arrived.If you're looking for an electric kettle, look no further. You won't find one so impressive and at such a low price!

The kettle heats up quickly and is super easy to use. The pink is really pretty too, so that's nice.It's also easy to clean, which is my issue with regular tea kettles that heat on the stove. This one solves all my problems. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase.
