Easy to assemble and picks up TV signals well
This antenna has amazing clarity and reception. Just set it up today, and the range seems pretty good. I live about 25 miles north of Houston, and most TV broadcast towers are about 15-20 south of the city. Thus, there are 45 miles or more between my house and these broadcast antennas, with all sorts of buildings in between. However, this antenna picked up 128 over-the-air channels without issue. Now, I have to trim that channel list down because I won't be watching the shopping channels and some others. The included antenna coax cable is about 40 feet long, so you may have more than you need for your installation. For my installation, I connected the antenna coax to the enclosed splitter and hooked up the existing coax which used to be the feed from my cable provider's service box. I did not need the included J-pole and mounting bracket because I attached the antenna directly to an old push-up flagpole that I had in place already. The antenna's mounting bracket tightened solidly to the top section of that pole.Assembly of the antenna is simple overall. The instructions are minimal and mostly diagrams, but are easy to follow. I do recommend using a pair of pliers to tighten the screws and wingnuts securely during assembly. The instructions aren't clear when assembling the final VHF vibrator section. The end-most VHF vibrator antenna has two (2) sections with two small "buttons" that only align one way; otherwise, these sections will not tighten to the main bar and the plastic may break. This alignment is NOT MENTIONED in the instructions. To assemble these sections of the antenna, be certain that the screw heads on both antenna sections face the same way. Doing so allows the "buttons" to align, and the sections will tighten properly with the three screws provided.Overall, I am quite happy with this antenna and would recommend it to others. There are cheaper ones, and more expensive ones, but this one works well.

Best Antennae I've Ever Bought
GREAT product. Above and beyond. TV reception was perfect; small and easy to mount; AND included all the little stuff such as rainproof covers, tie straps, easy assembly. I found I didn't need the amplifier and G4 filter that I bought separate...they did not improve what the antennae alone provided. Well done, Five Star HDTV antennae company!!

Good antenna for the price
This antenna performs fairly well mounted in the attic of my house. My house sits in a valley with hills several hundred feet high on each side. With this antenna, I can receive two commercial local stations located 6 and 26 miles away on VHF channels 7 and 9 with good signal strength and picture quality. I cannot receive a low-power PBS station 28 miles away on VHF channel 6. A nearby hill blocks the weak signal. The nearest UHF stations are 50+ miles away and I cannot receive any of them. At my location, I'm not sure any antenna could receive those UHF stations without a tall outdoor tower.I rated the antenna 4 stars because of the quality of the assembly hardware: screws, wingnuts, etc. I don't think the screws and wingnuts will last very long in outdoor locations. The screws are rather small, would probably rust within a couple of years and eventually fail in high winds. Since my antenna is mounted in my attic, this isn't a concern for me. If I was mounting this antenna outdoors, I'd replace the furnished screws and wingnuts with stainless steel ones from my local hardware store. The antenna elements and plastic components appear to be well made. The assembly instructions to be fairly easy to follow and assembly wasn't difficult.

Works Well For My Needs.
Antenna was light and easy to install in the attic, don't know about outside durability. Fairly simple assembly, pieces came together well. Tower is 36 miles away, this antenna runs through a distribution amp to one TV and a Tablo with no problems. I don't know about 200 but 36 miles works fairly well even during storms, which is pretty good for an attic installation.

Excellent reception in the attic!
We live in Greeneville, TN and are surrounded by the Appalachian Mountains. Our electrician installed this antenna in our attic and we were able to get 69 channels for the first scan with the antenna, including local news channels that we were not able to get with our old flat antenna we were using in the window. We are getting nearly triple the amount of channels aiming NW towards the nearest TV towers (2 in Knoxville, 1 in Johnson City, and 2 near Elizabethton: 50+ to over 100 miles from our home). I highly recommend this antenna after researching the UHF/VHF signals for the Tri Cities Area. The included 40' cable and mounting bracket with post made it very easy for our electrician to install the antenna in our attic! If you want to "Cut the Cable" like we have been doing now for years, you will want to check out this antenna to see if it is the right fit for you. I highly recommend it! Happy scanning!
