Absolutely perfect!
I've been looking for a good, bright and poseable lamp that could clamp to things while offering some sort of 'eye care' so that I could use it to work on creating art for hours on end. After pondering for a good while over which lamp to get, I decided to go for the Daylight Company Unolamp as it seemed to offer everything that I was looking for.>> WHAT'S IN THE BOX?Inside the box, you get the lamp itself, a power adapter/plug and a set of instructions.>> FIRST IMPRESSIONS?I was pretty impressed with the lamp after removing it from its box. It feels strong and well-engineered, but also very lightweight. It can be bent and twisted in almost any direction and has a brilliantly designed and substantial clamp which should allow it to attach firmly onto just about anything.>> HOW DOES IT WORK?Once you've connected the small cable that protrudes from the end of the lamp to its power adapter you just need to tap on its tip to turn it on. The clamp is adjusted by turning the 'handle' just above the clamp, which operates on a screw-mechanism to loosen and tighten it. The inside of the clamp edges are lined with soft roam/rubber so they shouldn't damage anything, and it opens pretty wide so it should be possible to clamp it onto fairly wide objects and surfaces.>> WHAT'S THE LIGHT FROM IT LIKE?The lamp itself consists of a strip of nicely diffused LEDs, and it has four different levels of brightness that can be adjusted by tapping on its tip. The light from it is beautifully neutral, so I find it perfect for working on my art with as it can go from fairly dull to retina-searingly bright. After using it for at least a couple of hours every evening for the past week, I've not experienced any eye-strain or headaches.>> CONCLUSION?This is a beautifully designed and engineered piece of kit that's simple to adjust and use, and I would absolutely recommend it.

Amazing quality
The best desktop light I ever found!! Unlike my previous LED light, this product has decent weighted base so it stays in place while I adjust the position of the light. The flexible neck is very practical and also sturdy / heavy duty that I feel it will last for much longer. The light is brighter than expected and it is what I needed for my plastic model painting :) Very pleased purchase!!

Wish I'd bought this sooner.
Love this. Great task lamp for crafting and wonderful for the winter blahs - I feel so much more awake and focussed when I use it. It's lightweight and easy to clamp on anywhere, even on my lap desk. I only wish it came in a brass finish option.

Good daylight lamp.
Very easy to put together. I like the simple dimmer switch on the end. I copied my sister who has had one of these for a few years. She uses it to apply her makeup and for reading and doing her intricate cross stitch. I prefer this for reading as I suffer from cataracts. Nice bright, clear natural light.

Works Well
I used to have a very expensive “Serious Reader” lamp but we had a fire and I lost it to that. I bought this as a cheap replacement to tide me over whilst we got everything sorted and I had the intention of buying another expensive one eventually. I don’t think I’ll bother with a new “Serious” lamp as this one is really good. It arrived well boxed with no room for manoeuvre in transit and was very easy to put together. The light is very flexible so you can direct the light to exactly where you need it. I have cataracts and use it for knitting so always have it on the brightest level but I would imagine that with 'normal' eyes, it would be very useable with the other levels. The base is quite sturdy but I use the wand carefully, although not flimsy, I think it needs gentle handling. It is a bit utilitarian looking but I wanted it to serve a purpose and am not bothered that it’s not very pretty. If I could change anything, I would give it a switch somewhere - you have to touch the end of the wand to operative it and sometimes I catch it when moving it up and down but that is a minor flaw. In my opinion, this lamp is excellent value for money.

Bright, focussed light.
I'm very happy with this lamp. It's easy to position where you want it, and the base is solid and stable. The touch switch at the tip of the light works well, and I'm not always catching it by mistake (I thought this might be a problem). Mine came at reduced price because the box was damaged - a bargain as the lamp itself was not even scuffed.Delivery was very quick.

Good clear light
It’s very slim and unobtrusive in my lounge behind my chair. It’s dimmable so I can adjust it according to the other light in the room. I’ve had a lot less eye ache since I’ve used it.
