Works great.However the numbers on the dial are not easily read. The numbers are raised and hard to read. The old chlorinator had numbers in white on a black dial. That was easy to read.

This unit is not Compatible. I installed this chlorinator in July 2023 after my diverter tee cracked where the feeder line connects to the main pipe. Since I installed this unit, I went from a normal chlorine usage of 3 weeks on setting 2 to chlorine has not even come close to running out in over 7 weeks on fully open. I have also had to supplement my pool with shock during the time because my chlorine level was around .5. I inspected to ensure I installed this unit in correctly. I was going to swap out the control valve to see if that could be the issue. I found the following: (1). The first picture shows a standard 1/2 PVC connector and as you can see, the threaded connector for the valve is slightly smaller than 1/2 inch and cannot be replaced as you can with an OEM Pentair Chlorinator. (2) The second picture shows the input side of the valve (left side) from this unit compared to an OEM Pentair valve input (on right). This unit has an insert that was glued into the valve frame, which has reduced the size from the original 1/2 inch opening and also restricted water flow. (3) The third picture shows an OEM Pentair valve input opening clearance (note no restriction). The fourth picture, after I cut out the restrictor, shows this units input valve opening, which is much smaller than the OEM. I paid $100 dollars for this unit. My local pool supplier sells and OEM Pentair for $150. I cannot find online the replacement valve or elbow (picture 5) that came with this unit if I wanted to replace them. I cannot use an OEM control valve that will fit or be modified to fit. I can use an OEM elbow instead of the original elbow. Do not buy this chlorinator, as it is not the actual brand Pentair. Pay a little more and get an actual OEM Pentair Chlorinator.

Works perfectly. Pool is clear and kids are happy. Works great.

product seems to work fine but i fought putting it in line because the reducer that come with product were very hard to get on pipe. i had to sand down the inside of the reducer and beat on with hammer will use store bought reducers if i ever had to replace.

We've had this for a year, stopped using it a few months in. Very hard to get the threads on the top to line up, now the vent valve is cracked and leaking. don't waste your time or money

It is a great substitute for the original. Had our pool guy install it and it works perfectly
