Great pair of binoculars…
Great pair of binocular. I was looking for a pair of binoculars, just to have around, you know in case of the zombie apocalypse. I found these and they have been great. They work really well and they are lightweight, the fact that you can record video and take pictures is just a huge bonus in my opinion. Very happy with my purchase thus far.

I bought these for my husband for Christmas. They were delivered when they were supposed to be, and they were exactly what was advertised. I gave them to my husband for Christmas and he loves him and has used him when he goes hunting.

Mediocre binoculars, garbage camera for photos, OK-ish for video
There are three main components that I think would be of concern to buyers: quality of binoculars, quality of photos, and quality of videos. Before I go into that, this is the first pair of binoculars that I’ve ever used with a camera included, so I don’t know how they compare to similar devices. This is, however, something I’ve been intrigued by for quite some time. I like to visit national parks with my family, and I like to take pictures on the fly while we are out there. One of the highlights is coming across an animal. As many of these animals are large and dangerous or sometimes skittish, it’s best to keep your distance. As I typically carry around a small point and shoot camera for ease of use and speed (my family doesn’t want to stand around while I set up for the perfect shot), it’s difficult for me to get a good shot of something if it’s too far away. I had hoped that these might be of use in that situation. So when it comes to the binoculars, the build quality seems solid, and the image quality that you get looking through the lens is pretty good. However, magnification seems to be kind of non-existent. There’s a focus dial on top of the binoculars, and you can twist one of the eyepieces for magnification, but it doesn’t really seem to do a whole heck of a lot. So from that point of view, these binoculars feel rather limited. In addition, they’re fairly heavy, likely due to the electronics, especially the battery, for the camera. Still, if you like the particular distance these have, you get a decent image. However, adjusting them so that you can look through both eyepieces and see a single image requires more effort that seems reasonable. Overall, as binoculars, I would say that the negative qualities put these as somewhat mediocre at best.So how about the camera? Well, it’s nice that you have that viewscreen, but it’s not as clear as when you look through the eyepieces. In addition, I’m not sure that the viewscreen actually gives you the full image. You do get some control over image quality and have various things you can adjust, such as ISO, white balance, sharpness, and resolution. Unfortunately, the images are absolute garbage unless you look at them on a really small screen. They look like muddy paintings. If you’re wanting to take a picture of an animal and print it, even on a 4x6, it’s not going to look great. Even worse, the camera is absolutely useless if either the binoculars or the subject is in motion at all. Three main pillars of taking a photo are ISO, shutter speed, and aperture. Shutter speed and aperture can not be adjusted, so it’s not surprising that the only chance you have to take an even remotely useable photo is if you have excellent lighting and both the camera and the subject are motionless. So, I guess if you have a tripod and happen to come across a deer that’s frozen in its tracks in bright sunlight, you might have something. Otherwise, forget it. You’ll just get muddy, streaky smears.Video quality, however, is better. Ideally, you would have a tripod as motion blur is definitely a problem, but if the camera is steady, this thing is capable of capturing video of something that is in motion with enough clarity to have some usefulness. If you are close to the binoculars, the mic is decent and clear, though it has a pretty limited range for what it can pick up. Your field of view is also pretty narrow, so that’s going to limit you a lot and make it difficult to get a good shot. Still, if you don’t have any type of camera and you are fine with the limitations of these binocular as binoculars, you might find yourself occasionally happy to have that video option available to you. It's difficult for me to want to recommend this. I feel like there must be better options available. You can certainly get better binoculars for what this costs, and if you have a smart phone, you already have a better quality camera that has a lot more adjustability to it. Although I’ve never used one, I know that they make monocular scopes that attach to phones, so maybe it’d be worth getting one of those if you aren’t interested in getting a dedicated camera. And by the way, this thing makes so noisy beeps and sounds, especially when you turn it on and off and go through the menu. If there is a way to turn all of that off, I did not see it.
