Rope flows smoothly and belay assist works very well. I really like the fact that belay mechanics are not changed from belaying with an ATC or similar device - to me this is very important in creating good habits while training new belayers. The mechanics for lowering are as simple as one could imagine once the belay assist has engaged, and I did not feel prone to opening in a panic situation as I have felt and seen with the GriGri. Compared to the GriGri and Mamut Smart, which I also own, it is much easier to operate and much easier to carry on my rack. At this point I have nothing negative to say and it seems destined to become my go-to belay device.

Light weight & works great
Easy to use light weight works great. Great for experienced climbers and beginners. Has a auto lock feature "I love it" so you can take your hand off the drop line and stay in place while freeing up you hands."always keep your hand on drop line for safety". Can be use both with double rope and single rope climbing no problem. I love this belay device and you will as well.

Great all around belay device
Used for all climbing due to it’s versatility. We top rope and lead climb on this 2-5 times per week. It takes a little practice to lower/rappel smoothly, but paying out slack is very intuitive.

8 and this thing is easy easier than the auto and semi auto locking Bruce's ...
keep your rope dia at 8.5 to 9.8 and this thing is easy easier than the auto and semi auto locking Bruce's like the grigri, lifeguard, etc... it's so much better to use, lighter and if you want to self belay, this is it... bank it up with the petzl micro traxion and you can self belay safely all day... it has a little different feel if you're belaying another, i use the lifeguard for that... but this is my go -to

Very functional
Replaced traditional ATC. This is much easier to use, and the plastic form on the cable makes lowering climbers very controllable.

... and purchased this to see if there were any great changes in the past few years
I have the original MegaJul and purchased this to see if there were any great changes in the past few years. There have been. This device does not kink up the rope nearly as badly as the previous model did. This is a great device for people who are looking for all the brake assist they want without going GriGri.

Awesome!
Tested this out in the gym, it caught my partner when I completely let go of the rope (climber was only a few feet off the ground). Definitely going to have my teenager use this while he belays me!
