Without a doubt, the best value-for-money helmet Bluetooth on the market.
I bought one like this a little over three years ago, and it's still working to this day. I bought a second one because the battery has worn down only minimally.I recommend it for anyone who is starting out or doesn't want to spend a lot of money but still wants a quality product at a good price.

Does exactly what it is supposed to.
Easy to install and pair with phone and other riders. Velcro fastening is ok but not great (I think that is more the fault of my helmet).Sound quality is good, but not a great deal of bass, but as long as I have some music to listen to I'm not terribly bothered...Battery life seems to be pretty good, but that is normally the case when electronics are new, only time will tell on this one.All in all, a very good buy...

Great , not the latest model but great
A little bit Fiddly to fit , but not difficult, would depend on the inside of your helmet how difficult. As I like everything to be hidden away so I took my lining out hid all cables and speakers under it , and it works perfectly. Have tried it now on journeys and it’s easy to use and good clarity of sound, why spend more ? Whey’s dies all you need and it’s good quality

Great intercom/not very good for listening to music.
Once set up it’s easy to connect and disconnected to each other. The sound quality is great when speaking to each other, no wind noise or any distortion. The only annoyance I have is that when I’m on my own and listening to music from my phone, the sound quality is bad. The speakers are not much good for music. But as we mainly perchased them for using as intercoms they do the job well. They are easy to install into your helmet yourself.

Easier to fit than you'd think. Thereafter works like a dream
So I use this as a Bluetooth headset for inside my helmet and pair it with my I phone. The reproduction of music is of very good quality. The incoming phone call then fades the music down and you answer the call by clicking the red button. I'm sure there is an autoanswer feature but I haven't found it yetMost importantly, the microphone is of good enough quality to use Siri. It takes a bit of practice, but a quick push of the red button activates Siri and it is useable. I did tell Siri he was being really thick and he said "I don't understand"I don't use the built in radio preferring to use the radio off the bike or my phone. The battery life is more than 6 hoursFinally, when you have a pillion rider the intercom works very well tooI have two helmets and each has this product

It won’t link with non Senna devices.
It’s ok, clarity is reasonable and the sound is average of a little tinny. The big one... it only works on Bluetooth with other Senna. So if you’re thinking is chatting and sharing music as you go along, you’ll be disappointed as they can all chat, but you can’t!

Excellent Audio - Easy to Fit
Fitting: relatively easy but check out a few YouTube videos just to get the idea of how it’s going to fit and which parts of your helmet lining need removing. I have an Arai Tour X4 and the Sena fits perfectly. Take the cheek pads and headlining out. The cheek pads have an area to fit the earpieces and you shouldn't need the extra foam spaces. Then fit the head lining over the cables and that's it.Operation: As with all gadgets it’s just a matter of practice, nothing too difficult. Pairing with my Blackberry Keyone was straight forward.Use: Crystal clear audio, slightly muffled microphone. I can listen to music, hear navigation directions from google maps, make and receive phone calls.Summary: Crystal clear audio even at high speed. Easy to fit and charge/update firmware. The speed dial and configuration menus would have benefited from a more pronounced step change on the jog wheel. Have not paired with another Sena set for group riding yet so unable to comment on that.

Does the job , just about
I've been using this for about a month. I commute about an hour each day into central London and bought this so i can listen to the radio / Spotify on the way in.Installation was was a bit of a fiddle but to be fair I think that is down to my Shoei Quest helmet which doesn't have space between the padding and shell to seat the cabling. I managed in the end but there is cable on display from within the helmet.Sound quality is OK if you wear earplugs and turn the volume all the way up however the volume does not go as high as i'd like it to. Without earplugs at half volume the sound is way to tinny and you cannot hear any base. I had the same problem when taking phone calls although the quality of the microphone appears to be good as people do not have a problem hearing me at 60MPHBecause i'm using earplugs to improve audio quality and have the volume all the way up I'm only getting about 3 hours of use. Without earplugs at half volume I was getting about 8 hours. The really annoying thing about the battery is the "Low battery" audio notification which comes on literally 2 minutes before the battery dies. A bit more notice would be handy so I know it's time to charge it once i get to the office. There is some sort of LED notification that alerts you when it needs charging but considering this thing is stuck to the side of your helmet it's not something you're likely to notice.Sena boast about how easy it is to control the SMH5 due to it's "Jog Dial and Ergonomics". The jog dial is just about useable with gloves but the flipping button that they go on about is so sensitive that every time i reach for the jog dial wearing gloves to turn up the volume I hit the push button which activates another function and stops my audio stream.I'm sure I'll get used to but i'm not overly impressed.

Good quality.....but read first
First off if you buy this model it’s the budget model and only has the older Bluetooth system. The unit itself and parts are great quality. If you take your time and install carefully the install looks good and wires aren’t visible. Battery life is awesome, sound from streaming music is great. Phone calls work great. It gets very loud. It connects to my iPhone iOS 14 perfectly with no issues. The only down side I’ve noticed is group rides. It’s difficult to connect with another rider via pairing it. Takes numerous times in my case. Once connected the sound quality isn’t very good you get a lot of feedback from your bike through the mic. Even when not talking to partner you can hear your bike through the speakers. When you start talking it’s muffles the bike sound until you finish talking. Then it’s right bike to bike feedback from speakers. Also if you are more than 8-10 car lengths away from partner it gets very scratchy and disconnects. You have to stop and repair the Bluetooth or try to do as your riding. The point of my review is if you want to use this model for phone calls and listening to music get it no questions asked. If you do a lot of dual riding with another bike definitely spend a little more and get the upgraded model.
