10-inch Sight Glass Spigot Clear View Water Level with Red Floating Ball Compatible with Berkey Big, Royal Gravity-fed Water Filter System, and other Gravity Filter Tank (Sight Glass Spigot)

My original finally started dripping so I had to replace it. The flow rate on this one is much slower than the original Berkey sight glass tap.

I got this for my water purifier because it sits on the counter and my wife fills it up all the time and overflows dumping water on the floor constantly, but it still doesn’t help much she still does it I told to look at the ball inside the tube it tells you where the water is but she still does it so I guess my next purchase is a new mop.

This site glass was a pretty easy install. For the first few days, it worked as it should, no leaks, and the site ball stayed afloat. Now, the site ball keeps sinking to the bottom of the tube. We have taken it off our filter system and ran clean water through it, insured the tube is installed correctly, and is straight up and down. Even if the tube is not exactly up and down, the site ball should still float at the water level. Overall, it is ok, but I would not pay this much for it had I known how basic it is. I did need a glass one so I could keep an eye on the water level. The site ball was just an extra.

So pleased with this replacement spigot. Works great and the water flow is awesome. The spigot that came with my filter was plastic and with our water, mineralization of the spigot caused very poor flow. This is a perfect solution.

Was cleaning my filter and notices some metallic flakes on my towel, hoping they all stayed at the bottom and I didn't drink too many...... Yuck

Our Berkey is taller than me when it is on our counter, so anytime I wanted to check the water level I would have to use a stepstool to check the water level. Now I am able check it with that and have been more consistent with make sure it is filled. Installation was very easy with a minor leak that was my fault. Hoping this will last a long time!

Great value and works well. Sight glass is great to reveal how much filtered water you have rather than shaking or peeking under the lid.

Leaks were the spigot threads on. Have had it apart and back together numerous times.Decent quality components but cutting a corner on the quality of one seal makes this a China Mart piece of junk. One quality seal and it could be 5 star product.Have the people in these companies no pride what so ever? Hopefully the extra fraction of a cent profit on each sale makes them feel good about themselves. This is getting ridiculous.
