Shaved visible hair as much as I could and dried my legs before hand.Then I tried it on my chin, which still has a little bit of short hair and there was a bit of burning smell. No pain though.The device near the flash window is ice cool to touch. It does feel warm to the touch after I turned it off after the session.Flashes occur only when device is in contact with skin. Feels pretty safe to use so far.The device produces a little bit of humming noise from the fan and when it flashes. I was influenced by lebaneseangel22 on TikTok to give this device a try. It’s a great price point when compared to other ipl devices. I have been consistent with 3 sessions a week for from 4/22 - 5/25. I see a HUGE difference. I have hormonal facial hair from PCOS and cannot afford laser in a fancy office so this has been a blessing. I was scared at first of the pain but it’s honestly not that bad. After the first couple zaps you’re used to it. My skin isn’t as dark and the regrowth is patchy. It will probably take a full year of upkeep to really see little to no growth but I will be up-keeping for the rest of my life. This machine should last me practically my entire life based on the 9 million zaps they give you. 10/10 product. I have already told friends about it. You must be consistent and patient. It works but remember all hairs have different growth cycle so don’t feel defeated when you notice more hair growth after your first few sessions. Don’t give up!!!
