Okay, so, I've been using this henna paste for about a year now and this has become my favorite and most affordable brand to buy from here. This is natural henna paste, yes, it really really is. But! I have some things everyone needs to take note of for the absolute best results possible...Since I was teenager I've been mixing and preparing my own henna paste at home. Buying pre mixed paste is a major time saver for me. So, with that being said, I know a thing or two about quality henna paste.The ingredients in this paste are natural henna powder, water, eucalyptus oil, clove oil, sugar, Katha powder and lemon. So, what's the difference between this particular paste vs professional henna paste made for body art? The clove oil and the Katha powder. Clove oil is the only ingredient I see in this paste that some people may be sensitive to. I do not react badly to clove so I knew I would be just fine. If you don't generally have sensitive skin this paste should work perfectly for body art on you but still do a little spot test just in case!The Katha powder- essentially that's what makes this a hair dye henna paste. It's used to enhance the color in the hair and it might or might not enhance the color on the skin but it's still a natural and gentle ingredient. So don't let the Katha powder deter you from trying this paste.How to get a bold stain with (any) henna paste:Lay it on THICK! I recommend using a stencil with this one because the paste isn't necessarily as thick as body henna would be, but it doesn't run at all. You just might not be able to get crisp, small details with this paste if you freehand your art. But remember to put it on very thick! Let it completely dry on your skin and try to leave it on for at least 3-4 hours, ideally overnight, to achieve a nice dark stain. If you don't apply a thick enough layer or let it set on your skin long enough you won't get the results you want. When it starts to dry down, to help it stay on longer, mix a little sugar and lemon juice and very gently re wet the henna to help it stay on your skin longer. The lemon and sugar will not only help it stick to your skin longer but it will help to further darken and activate the stain. And, to help further darken it, keep yourself very warm where you applied it, without causing yourself to sweat. Heat will also activate that color. If I don't have a lot of time I will use a blow dryer on low heat to dry the henna and it definitely helps darken it.So: apply it thick, keep it warm, let it set as long as possible and treat it with lemon sugar water. And don't wet your stain for at least 24hrs or it may wash it away prematurely. Scrape off the paste, never rinse it off and apply coconut oil or the like (all natural ONLY) to also help preserve the rich color.Also, remember that it takes 12-24hrs for the stain to completely darken and develop on the skin even after you remove the paste. Your palms, bottoms of feet and fingernails will stain the darkest and last the longest. Your body chemistry also has a huge role to play in how dark it will become. This henna paste has always given me a beautiful dark red brown stain.Follow these tips and you should absolutely love this affordable henna and get pretty decent, if not prefect, results every time.

I bought these as practice cones so i could use them without having to worry about if i was wasting my other high quality henna I work with. i know the difference between homemade henna and manufactured henna and this just solidified the difference haha. Im not mad at it because it still comes out the tube and smells like henna, and it probably stains but i have tested the stain on my hand compared to my homemade henna and long story short it dosent compare. This henna didnt stain at all within the minute and a half it was on my skin (yes thats a short time but if its good henna it should stain orange a little) and my homemade henna stained that good light orange. Again, giving it a 4 star just because it works for me either way even if its not amazing quality because its for practice, not serious designs. (Honestly if its dosent stain, great! Then i can practice on anyone and it wont matter if i mess up or dont like it!) 🤷🏻But PSA: if you are wanting a good quality henna cone, this isn’t particularly it due to to the tips of every cone being completely crushed apon opening and i have no idea how long it would even take to actually stain you.

Absolutely perfect for faux freckles! It lasts for weeks and looks so beautiful! I have very light golden freckles and I like to go over those and add some extra especially in the summer months. This stuff is so easy to work with and lasts forever! I just apply it at the start of the day and then brush them off my face before I go to bed that night.

I was very hopeful about this Henna. I like the smell and the consistency. It was not too liquidy and not too dry so it went on well and stuck well. Unfortunately, despite leaving it on overnight and avoiding water for 24 hours, it did not give a very robust color. What's more, it didn't last very long either. After a few washes of my hands, it was already fading. I know it's labeled as being for hair so I cannot speak to its effectiveness as a hair color, but since most people are ending up using it for their hands I can tell you it's not the best option

These henna cones arrived well-packaged, but it's important to note that they need to be put in the freezer immediately upon delivery to preserve their potency something the seller should really make more clear upfront.I used the henna for hair dye and left it on for 6 hours. The stain came out very light and only lasted about a week, which was a bit disappointing. It might be better suited for body art than hair, or maybe just not strong enough overall.Application was also tricky. The cone tip is very fine, which would be good for detailed designs, but since I was using it on my scalp for spot treatment, I ended up having to cut the cone open to apply it faster. Otherwise, it would have taken forever. I used one cone, but probably should have used two for better coverage.Overall, this set might work for small designs or touch-ups, but if you're looking for deep color or long-lasting results especially for hair you may want to keep looking.
