A kettle that doesn't make the water taste odd!
I really like that there isn't any taint to the boiled water. So many kettles in recent times have made the water taste of rubber or some such sealant. The kettle is light weight and sturdy enough and made primarily of stainless steel. There is no sign of rust (as yet, hopefully not at all) a fault found in too many kettles these days. I particularly like the blue light switch! A couple of very minor niggles are far outweighed by the kettles good points; these are the slightly notchy lid and the splutter of hot water if you fill it right up to the maximum mark - which I rarely need to do.

Simple, fast boiling kettle, quite noisy
Replacement for a quiet Russell Hobbs that fell apart over two years. The Kenwood has basic features that appear well put together, with less to go wrong in theory.Basic features include a lid that has no release button, only one water level viewing window, limited level indicators - the first graduation at half a litre. It pours well and has a comfortable, relatively chunking, handle.Whilst it is quite noisy when boiling, I'm generally pleased with it and hope it last longer than its predecessor.

Great addition to my kitchen gadget family
The main reason I decided to buy this kettle is because it is made of stainless still. I am trying to reduce my exposure to harmful chemicals released while hitting plastic items, so my old plastic kettle had to go. I do trust in Kenwood as a brand and have several other kitchen items from this brand. The kettle hits the water really fast, it is easy to see how much is already in and the design is very stylish as well. So far really happy with my purchase!

Good Kettle but makes a lot of noise
This was bought to replace another Kenwood kettle which I've had for some time. The design was very similar to the previous one with the brushed steal however as some people have said the lid is rather flimsy in comparison to the previous models. That said, if like me you fill the kettle through the spout then its not really a problem as you only open the lid occasionally to clean it.Taste wise its great, cannot detect any tainting of the water.Last but not least is the noise it makes. It really is quite loud. When you first turn it on it makes some kind of popping sound for 20 seconds or so and then you really can't miss the fact that the kettle is on. That said I am really happy with the kettle hence the 4 stars.

Some good features but I would never buy it again
From new, the kettle continues to bubble and splutter for up to 45 seconds after it switched off even when filled to only 1litre. Very noisy, leaves about a thimble full of water on the power base each time it is used.Years ago we owned Kenwood Chef food mixers and blessed them for the incredible use we had from them but I now doubt if I would buy any other Kenwood product. Since we always try to buy British products this is a great pretty.

Great kettle
I have had Kenwood kettles for years and they just last (except the lid) until you decide that it’s time for a new one. Kenwood have improved the spring design in the lid. The old ones used to weaken or fail. In the new model, there is a soft click as you pull the lid open to the max position and it holds in place to fill the kettle. It’s otherwise still a nice looking design with a nice brushed all stainless steel body. It has a good handle and pours well too. I would recommend this product.

Recommend!
Very impressed with this kettle. Wide nozzle so you can fill it with out lifting the lid. Very light weight, doesn't splatter when you pour from it and best of all it boils quickly. Would recommend it especially if you have problems lifting thing's no strain on the wrists.
