Perfect for elderly mom
This has been wonderful for my mom. She choked a lot on other cups with a straw. It has really helped. I just bought another one.

Great but can dribble
Mom is 90 and has Dementia.,we keep this at her bedside for a quick drink. If laying down when she removes it water can com out so I give it to her now and hold a washcloth up to her cheek just in case. I think she’s gotten the hang of it and we don’t fill it but maybe a quarter of the way and it’s been easier without a water fall. It did cause her some confusion at first and she was trying to tip her cups with a straw like she did this cup when we had her using both daily. Now with it just bedside, no more confusion, she uses it easily and actually loves her little water cup. It saves me and my my sister from trying to tip and pour with a small bathroom paper cup of water into her mouth and then cleaning up the mess!

Best of 3. Easy to hold. Crack Resistant
I have purchased 3 different style cups for my 98-year-old mother. She has trouble holding a conventional cup. The first type has about the same cost for 2 of this model and holds about 4 ounces. It was made of a clear plastic and had 2 good easy-to-hold handles. I would prefer this type to the current cup, but both cups developed cracks in the bottom and started leaking after about 3 months after careful hand washing. The 2nd style cup is made of similar material as the newest cup, milky translucent. About 4 ounces with small handles, which make it easy to hold. The stainless steel straw and cleaning brush add value

Can’t figure out the “regulating” part
Right at the top of the description, written in large font, it states, “Dispenses 10cc of Liquid Each time the Cup is Put Down & Lifted.” I ordered it because of that feature. My mother is elderly with multiple health problems which cause her difficulty at times with swallowing. She also spends a lot of time in bed. Trying to stay hydrated when you’re in bed adds its own set of problems, like spilling. I’d gotten her an adult cup for the disabled in the past but she still choked a bit at times when too much water came out at once. So, this cup seemed like a great solution. The cup is well made. The lids are difficult to get on and off if you have hand weakness, but I could do it fine for her. It came with two metal straws, one straight and one bent so that you can pick the one that works best for you. It even came with a good straw-cleaning brush, which I really appreciate. My only issue, but it’s a fairly big one, is that there are no directions included with this cup in order to get just 10cc with each drink. I tried using both lids and both straws, separately of course, but there was no way to judge how much liquid was being dispensed each time. After not being able to figure it out, I went back online, reread the entire product description, watched the video, read the questions and answers, and read all of the comments, hoping to find the answer. The manufacturer replied to a question about the same issue by referring them to the video. So, I watched the video again thinking I must have missed it somehow. Nope, it’s not there. They need to either explain exactly how to do it or they should remove the statement entirely. If the “Dispenses 10cc…” statement wasn’t right at the top, with the name of the product, I would have judged it as it is and given it 5 stars. Instead, I dropped it down a star because it wasn’t everything it was advertised to be. If I’m ever notified that an actual explanation for how to measure the liquid coming out has been added, I will gladly come back and bump up the rating.

Works great!
My keyboard player knocked over his water glass every time we played a gig.......EVERY TIME....... so I bought this for him as a Christmas gift. Not only has he avoided the mess and risk of electrocution but, it had all of us rolling on the floor laughing when he opened his gift. Well, he has knocked it over a few times without spilling a drop......and the rest of us are still laughing.

It’s not 1000 milliliters which!
The description says 1000 milliliters which is 32oz. Falsehoods

It's OKAY, but...
The cup has a very stable base. The two handles are great for grasping with both hands for 100 yr old mother-in-law. The fact that it is a clear cup is great because it allows us to see how much liquid is left. The sipper cup lid appears to be a tighter fit because it does not leak an abundance when tilted. However, the concave lid for the straw leaks the minute the cup is tilted. The stainless steel straw is great for the environment, but the fact that it isn't flexible makes it difficult for MIL to drink. She has to hold the cup low enough and place her mouth at a particular angle for the upright straw and the bent one. The cup does not fit well for my mother-in-law; thus it is being returned.

VASO PARA DISCAPACITADOS
ESTE VASITO HA SIDO SÚPER EXCELENTE PARA MI HERMANITA CON ESCLEROSIS LATERAL AMIOTROFICA, PUES ELLA NO TUENE BUEN AGARRE Y CON ESTE VASO NOSOTRAS LAS CUIDADORAS SE LO COLOCAMOS Y PUEDE LLEVARLO HASTA SU BOCA POCO A POCO, YA QUE ESTÉ VASO ES MUY LIVIANO, FÁCIL DE AGARRAR, SI SE LE CAE NO HACE DERRAME NI DESTAPA PUES QUEDA MUY BIEN CERRADO. NO TIENE PESO. TRAJO DOS TAPAS PARA DIFERENTES USOS; UNA PARA COLOCARLE SORBETE; SU DESEAN Y LA OTRA PARA QUE LO USE DIRECTAMENTE. EN NUESTRO CASO LO UTILIZAMOS CON EL SORBETO Y ES UN ÉXITO. ME TOME EL TIEMPO PARA OPINAR, YA QUE SE QUE AL IGUAL QUE NOSOTRAS LAS CUIDADORAS; MUCHOS PERSONAS CON IMPEDIMENTOS MOTORES Y MUSCULSRES NERVIOSOS LO NECESITAN . GRACIAS
