Worked as expected
This traced a wire in a car loom to an unconnected end in 5 minutes. Solved my problem 1st time using this tracer. Auto electrizan quoted me £120 for the first hour and £60 thereafter. To be honest, however long this keeps working, I’ve had my money’s worth already. Very happy.

A Useful Wire Tracer That Gives Good Value for Money
The media could not be loaded. Professional wire tracers can cost hundreds of pounds, but as I was only trying to find where four Cat 5E cables were going, I opted for something more affordable.I'm pleased with the purchase. By placing the transmitter on the Cat 5E cables behind the faceplates, I was able to determine which cables they corresponded to at the network hub using the probe. It doesn't have the best range, so if you're looking to locate cables behind walls, I'd get something else. It gets a lot of interference too, but if you make sure you probe the end of each cable, you'll find this tool invaluable.

Really impressed
Invaluable tool on singles when testing and inspecting the multitude of three phase DBs on my job . Find unmarked circuits in minutes rather than hours same with mixed up legs of rings at DB ect .Was using a more expensive company fluke before but this thing is mustard for the money , nice build quality and pin point accuracy in a cluster of cables .Money well spent in my opinion , would definitely recommend and will probably buy another just incase they stop selling them on here its that good 👍

Not fit for purpose
Tried this on a job,it does not give you a clear identification tone of correct cable, the signal tone is very weak and inconsistent it comes and goes, changed batteries just in case, same bad result.Do not buy

Does the job intended
I’ve had expensive units and after having them stolen I decided to go for this and I can’t fault it, it’s not as solid as the fluke one but it’s decent and does the job intended!

Arrived broken
Arrived broken, saw what the problem was, On/Off/ rheostat knob mounting screw over tightened, managed to repair. Already have one but keep loosing it in my pile of "Goodies".

Came with two empty batteries
Works well the minus 1 star is because it arrived with two batteries in original packaging but they were both empty so I had to go buy new batteries straight away that than makes the product more expensive as it's sold practically without batteries.

Cheap and cheerful
Ideal for sparks working on large projects where apprentices can’t be arsed to label the cables after pulling them in.
