Basic enough to allow me to create my own math games
I like this math board because it covers addition/subtraction (1 to 20) on one side, and multiplication/division (1-100) on the other side. The multiplication/division side is limited to 10 factors (no 11’s or 12’s to practice), which is a little disappointing.Because this set consists of just two math tables (one on each side of the board) and two decks of cards with operations (and no answers), I am not restricted to playing the suggested games noted on this product’s listing page. I can create my own games to keep challenging my little learners. It comes in a nice box to keep the pieces together. The multiplication side of the board is perfect, but the addition/subtraction side doesn't have the numbers centered within the holes! This seems like a small issue, but for some reason, kids tend to notice this because kids are weird. The game pieces are in muted colors. This appeals to my taste, but more vibrant colors would be better for kids. Kids do love the ten-sided dice, and it makes sense to have ten-sided dice as the games addends and factors are 1-10.If you have reluctant learners, consider stocking up on math manipulatives and games like this one. This game, for example, is far more engaging than any workbook.

A Very Simple Process That Makes Math Fun. Addition/Multiplication
The Math Enlightenment Teaching Aid arrived in a colorful, multi-color, with pictures of the product and a warning, in a very firm, round clear tape sealed cardboard package. The package measured just large enough to fit the Book, 9½” x 9” x 1¼”. The weight of the package was near (13) ounces.Nicer than expected. This is turned out to be nicer than expected. To start, the listing did not picture the package, I did. What is inside?A wood board that reminds me of an oversized bingo card. However, the axis is used in the effort to learn multiplication and edition.Sturdy & DurableThe two (2) decks of cards, along with the dice (very lightweight), the pawns, and the board seem sturdy and durable.CardsThe cards picture the equation to use on one side and the other is a picture of a dinosaur, either yellow or green and either on a light or dark purple background. The cards measure about 2” x 3”.PawnsThe pawns are tiny, about ½” tall and the base is about ½” in diameter. The diceThe two (2) dice have a ten (10) side, multi-faceted design, near (1”) in size.Formula cardThere is a waxy, glossy finished, like a playing card, formula card. It’s one-sided, on ½ of the face, top side, is the multiplication formulas and on the bottom ½ side of is the addition formula. The card was kind of dirty, so I was able to wipe it off with a water vinegar solution, damp rag. The card measures a near square (8”). We used a very effective dry erase pen to allow the children to mark-up the other side, to also solve equations. We were able to wipe the card clean with a slightly damp cloth square. The boardThe board is made from a kind of plywood. I would not get this wet. It weighs just a bit over (4) ounces and measures near 8¾” square and a fraction over a ¼” in thickness. The y and x axis each are (10) columns and rows. How to useFree play or use the cards or use the dice to come-up with numbers to add or subtract. Using the cards, set a timer, and at the end of the time, the person with the most cards can be declared the winner. For two (2) or more players, there are that many more eyes to learn the multiplication or addition.Educational?Yes. It’s genius in simplicity and design. It allows my little one to learn/refresh knowing numbers during the gaming process. Further to learn proper behaviors when playing and to think accurately and fast.Caution is advised. This has small parts, so we must keep this away from the babies.Where made?ChinaFit and finish? It’s nice. No sharp edges no splintering of wood. The cards are a bit flimsy but work as should. For the most part, everything is sturdy and durable.ColorsNot very colorful, other than the cards, dice, and pawns. The board is wood with the numbers kind of burned in.Odors?None.WarningChildren should be supervised and children under the age of three (3) should be kept away.ValueHmmm, it’s okay pricing, I think that since this is made in China, the costs of production should be lower and I would rather see the price under $10 rather than over, at the time of this review, February 2023.Based on the totalityI like this, price brings this down just a bit, so I am rating this a weak five (5) stars.I hope my thoughts offered information.

Solid wooden board and a game that can make the learning process intuitive and pleasant
A very neat and sturdy wooden tablet with flat recessed circles with numerical results of multiplication on one side and addition on the other side. It is true, as noticed by other reviewers, that the box contains all paraphernalia of the game, but not its rules. The rules are indicated only in the description of the product on its Amazon page. The player gets the calculation task by either drawing a card with the task, or by tossing two dice. I think that the rules are not included in the box because the manufacturer perceived that there is a problem with the proposed rules. For this assembly to be a game, rather than just a tool for easing the memorization of the addition and/or multiplication table, there should be a way to make it a competition. The rules described by the manufacturer on the Amazon page propose that the winner should be the child who first finds the correct solution on the board, giving him/her the right to keep the card that he/she drew, and who has most of the cards at the end wins. Unfortunately, I think that having 5 – 8 year old children compete about who will be the first to place their peg in the right circle on the board invites a fight that may not be pleasant for either party. It would therefore be preferable if the participants take turns to draw the cards (or cast the dice) and place their peg on the circle with the answer, and if at the end of the round the winner will be the person with the highest numerical value of the answer. This way, the game may be played by more than two people, as it does not involve any fight for who puts his/her peg first (imagine four people, such as two children and two adults, trying to fight for being the first). It also does not reward the person with a greater mastery in calculation, which I think is preferable when the goal is to help children to learn without degrading their self-confidence, and makes the learning process intuitive and pleasant.

Fun and engaging game!
My five year old loves this. It’s challenging for him, but it’s a really fun way to get your child focused on math in a fun way. We love playing this. I would recommend!
