The GE Countdown Timer Switch works great
The GE Countdown Timer Switch works great, easy to install considering the tight space to work in, and is not all that noisy. It is mechanical and it does tic-toc. Being mechanical is why I purchased it, it is simple with no complicated setup. It simply works.

Fan timer
Works great. Installed in my smoking room to run a ventilation fan that will shut off after a short time after I leave. It does the job and without any problems for over a year.

Good switches
Only had single pole going to switches and tires of kids leaving the lights on. These fixed the problem and the kids actually like them.

Timer.
Well its just what if says. A mechanical timer. I have to manually set it so the earth does not stop.Good thing to because if the planet stops spinning bad things would happen. So i use this timer to keep everything in place and the world spinning.I have purchased before snd the advantage of a mechanical timer is you don’t need electricity. It was not expensive for my application and it does make a soft ticking noise if the place is quit. Its actually quite soothing. You do need to turn it on at least a quarter of the way if you only need it on for a short time. But if you are using to keep the planet in check please turn it all the way. So the people in middle earth don't get upset snd come up and bite us!!!

didn't work / now it does
I wrote a review a few days ago when 'right out of the box' the thing didn't work.'More trouble to return it than it was worth so I decided to 'fix' it.I took it apart with a screwdriver by removing the 2 smaller of the 4 screws you see.It came apart easily. The 'mechanics' of the switch are then easily removed from the plastic enclosure.I then literally flooded the 'all metal' springs/gears/wheels with sewing machine oil.I let it drip/drain for a while then dabbed it with a soft cloth and put things back together. It now works fine. I think someone bought a truck load of these things from General Electricfor 50 cents each when it was found out they forgot to lubricate them during the manufacturing process. On a side note I found when fully wound up the switch is on for 16 minutes :)

Works as supposed to
Easy to install since no neutral wire is needed. I spend more time looking for the correct breaker lol. It works fine.
