My almost 200lb husband stood and lightly jumped on the stool and it was solid.Its purpose is to keep personal things safe for my kids dorm room.Pretty cool that it’s fire proof

For the price this thing is excellent. Takes 30 seconds to set up. Just pops open, put the bottom piece in to brace it open. Fill with all the important and precious things, zip the cube shut as pop the padded lid on. This also solved a seating problem for us in the bedroom without taking up any space at all. Just some place to sit to get ready. States it holds up to 400 lbs. Now I’m no where near 400 lbs lol but it holds my chonk butt and feels plenty sturdy…if I’m just sitting on it and not trying to shift around too much..just don’t try to scoot around on it. I think if it were to be rocked and tilted with unevenly distributed weight of any amount, that definitely negates the engineering they had in mind when they believed they made this to hold 400 lbs. lol just my take on it.It does come with a lock of sorts, but it’s only secure enough to keep out small children and nosey folks who aren’t brazen enough to snoop past a flimsy zipper lock. I didn’t take any stars for that, tho. It serves all the purposes I needed it for and looks good too.

Easy to assemble but not sturdy enough to stand on. Bought it for a dorm room and it collapsed a few times when standing on to climb onto the bedHowever the lock feature was a plus

Cute storage space

Purchased this for my dorm. Was disappointed that this didn't even last the school year. Was not sturdy at all. If you're just using it for storage, it's fine. But if you plan on also using this as a step up into the dorm bunk bed, don't bother. The top started to cave in midway through the school year and I had to toss it.

It was good for the time being, but then it ended up not working anymore, and I had to cut it open.

I was surprised when this arrived totally flat, but it assembled in minutes and is very sturdy. It goes very well with my black leather furniture too. There is a fair amount of space for storage, including light blankets, as well as important documents. I'm very happy with the classic look and sturdiness. No one would ever guess there was stored items inside.

This box is good quality, looks good and the added locking mechanism makes it perfect.

My house is small and it's nice to have a footstool and a place to put my documents. The lid sort of extends over the sides more than I'd expect.
