Exactly like the OEM unit I replaced
High quality, I am upgrading my house to get rid of all the 90s area brass style hardware in my house. This was some of the last pieces. Install is easy and all the hardware is included. The lock rod was longer than the one that was in my door so I simply swapped over the rod. However it’s nice to have a longer rod if needed. Other than that it was identical to the unit I replaced in shape, size and style.

Great replacement
This is a great replacement for old painted over flush bolts. It was an exact fit except for the rod which was not a problem as I was able to reuse the existing rod. The only (minor) issue is that the face plate was 1/4 " larger in length but a few minutes with a knife and it was fine. What worked best for me was unscrewing the plunger rod and removing it from the top of the door, then removing the mechanism. Install the new mechanism and then reinstall the plunger and screw it down until just below where the strike plate will go. Notice the plunger is flat on one side to keep it from turning once installed.

Great brass product
1982 front door had the identical hardware, still working. Thought it time to replace it during our remodel.

Worked as advertised
Nice solid piece which replaced an old brass one from 1999. Fit perfectly - just took me a while to work out how to install it. Ended up using the original extension piece as the new one was a bit too long although I am sure it could have been cut to fit. I had a little trouble getting hold of the right color/finish. Twice I was sent the polished chrome version as Amazon had the wrong product # on the item that said it was oil rubbed bronze. I think its been sorted out now.
