Solid insoles
I’m a real customer who bought insoles for my jogging shoes. I’ve been trying a lot of kinds lately. The idea of “preventing pain” is kind of a strange marketing gimmick. If you don’t experience pain, how can you be sure it was from the insoles and not some other factor? But I get what they’re going for here. This is a basic insole designed around some pretty standard podiatrist-approved principles. An insole with a heel cup and some support for the arch will undoubtedly help most people. It’s far better than the flat insoles that are included in most shoes. As with most Scholls products, this is a basic insole designed as a one-size-fits all. Thus, nothing about it is very precise. The size range is huge (8-13), the arch support is mediocre, and the material is of sufficient quality but nothing outstanding. However, the cushioning and heel support on this insole manage to be excellent. The pad under the heel offers a good amount of bounce and shock absorption. The top cloth feels soft and comfortable. Heel cup is deep and offers a lot of stability. For the price, this really is a solidly built insole that feels great.Whether these will work for you depends on what you need. If you have severely flat feet, you’ll likely need a rigid orthotic crafted to your size. But if you are just looking for more foot protection, especially if your shoes already offer some support, these insoles might just be your speed. They’re definitely far, far better than just relying on stock insoles that come with your shoes. If you’re new to the world of insoles, you could do a lot worse than these.

Great Support
These are very comfortable and give great support. I put them in a pair of boots that the bottoms were getting slippery and flat. These helped so much and gave added arch support. Just cut to your size and put it in the shoe you want. Easy!

Works but, makes fallen arches hurt more.
Not what I expected. Making feet hurt more. Maybe more arch support than I need because that is what hurts the most. Low back doesn’t fatigue as fast or as much now though. So it works. If you have flat feet I would choose something else though

Make your shoes comfortable.
These inserts made a big difference in my shoes and the way they felt so glad they have them on Amazon. The cost is a little less than Walgreens.

Prevent Pain ***UPDATED***
I have extremely flat feet. My left foot especially is in really bad shape. My foot specialist has suggested surgery at least on the left side, but I have yet to hear anybody have anything nice to say about foot/ankle surgery. Most people have to get it done at least twice but then still have problems. Inserts with a pronounced arch support hurt me because it's pressing on the side of my foot where the arch should be. It will also develop a large callous there.I came across these that are to "prevent pain". I really like them. They seem to keep my ankles stable and don't press in where the arch should be. I ordered a couple more pairs of them. I have an appointment with my foot specialist tomorrow and will take a pair to show him. He wants to sell me a pair of custom-made orthotics that will cost $500. If he can convince me that those will be the best for my feet, I will pay that price. All I know is I'm a 62yo woman who has a lot of foot/ankle/knee pain. I've got to do at least some walking. I can't be wheelchair or bed bound. If you have foot/ankle/knee/back pain, give these inserts a shot. They're not that expensive and they are definitely worth a try.***UPDATE*** So when I went to see my foot doctor on Monday, when I pulled these insoles out of the bag I had them in, he immediately said, "Oh, those are crap". Well, these pieces of 'crap' are what's keeping my ankle from moving back and forth while walking. My left foot is now completely collapsed and no orthotics would do any good for it. I will have to have a pretty complex surgery to fix it. In the meantime, I will wear these insoles because it's hard to walk when your ankle is moving back and forth.
