This item is brilliant! I have arthritic fingers and have tried a number of jar openers, some better than others but none ideal.This item does not need to be squeezed. It provides excelled leverage and unlike any other opener I have encountered, it locks in place, so not only can it be used to open the lid, but can also lock it firmly back in place. Many jar openers do not grip lids with a rounded edge because of their small surface area, this one has three sets of three teeth that make little indents into the lid, preventing the opener from sliding or jumping off.Finally, the size range of the the jar lids it can be used for is the best I have encountered.Good build quality. Should last many years. Excellent value. Essential if you lack the ability to grip for whatever reason.

I bought this for my mum as she has poor grip due to arthritis. I left her to it and I got a text message half hour later. She was very impressed.It opens honey jars and the screw top milk cartons with ease. She is still surprised every time she uses it, how easily it works. She has tried the band types, but they still require some grip to use. I highly recommend this device, it's well worth the money.

Very good concept, which adapts to different sizes, but be aware that it requires some strength to hold the jar/bottle with the other hand while pushing the handle.

Easy to adjust to fit (turn the rotary lever on top). Turn anti-clockwise. Jar open. But don’t forget to hold the jar with your other hand! It’s that easy.The device doesn’t feel or look cheap and cheerful, it seems to be well made and is light but feels that it has durability and strength. Time will tell.It arrived well packed and a day early. We will offer second tool for our daughter as she has to wait until our son-in-law arrives home if she is wanting to open a jar but finds it difficult to open.
