My daughter asked me for this. I ordered it. It arrived two days later. Its what her piano teacher asked her to get. I am happy except for the fact that the teacher seems to have left the music service - let's hope another one comes to replace him soon!

We bought the book because it is the one the teacher uses. Or daughter enjoys the tunes, the CD is useful as it sets the tempo and adds to the experience. Good prompt delivery

Really useful especially if you are trying to learn piano on your own, playing with the cd makes you understand how to follow the rhytm naturally and all the songs are nice. Highly reccomended

Bought this accidentally instead of book 2 but if it's anything like the others in the series it'll be a good teaching resource for my students.

good book for lessons

I bought Books #1 - #3 to kickstart re-learning piano. My reviews of Books #1 and #2 tell the sorry tale.I quote: "It is intended to be sold with either a CD or a download code to provide the examples and accompaniments that the entire teaching method is based on.This book is being sold in the UK WITHOUT that CD and you can NOT get the downcode. The supplier claims that this is down to 'copyright issues' but I suspect that this translates as 'we don't want to pay to use the songs we feature in this book'.Since the book is really only usable by a piano teacher in the form in which it is being sold, this is at best sharp practice. At worst, it is a word I should probably avoid."Without the first two books, there is little hope that I am going to leave a positive review of Book #3, except to note that this book DOES have the download code. Go figure.In fairness to Amazon, they refunded in full immediately and without quibble.

This is a very good series. My son's piano teacher told us to get it. I am a pianist and I have lots of piano learning resources in my library. This is one of the best. What I really like about it is that it comes with accompaniment soundtracks that one can download from the website. One can put the soundtracks on iTunes library or on Google drive. Just make sure that there is a good loud speaker by the piano to play these soundtracks or the piano will drown them out.There are two soundtracks for every song. One slow and one fast. It allows the piano student to make beautiful music with the piano and the accompaniment. I only wish that I had come across this 15 years ago.

My piano students have responded so positively to this system by Hal Leonard. The CD is a great tool for tempo and the theory books are packed with lessons that teach theory in an engaging way.

We have been using the Hal Leonard piano books for our daughter for the last 2 years. This is our 3rd year with it. Each book level takes approximately one year. It has been effective in teaching my daughter how to play. The CD is really helpful. We have bought the book before without the CD and ended up rebuying it with the CD.The lesson books are quick and easy for my daughter (age 8) to learn with little guidance. She seems to genuinely enjoy them.
