Orlushy 25W Small Submersible Aquarium Heater, Constant Temperature Betta Fish Tank Heater of 78℉for 1-6 Gallons Freshwater & Saltwater Tanks

I have two of these heaters for two separate tanks. My 5G heater works just fine, keeps it at a steady temp of 78-80, switches on & off perfectly fine on its own. My 6G on the other hand, it was faulty. At first it worked fine but then it switched to red & green on all the time. I was out of town for a few days and I came home to a temp of almost 100 degrees!! Insane. Thankfully I got a replacement heater and that one is doing way better so far. Even though I had a faulty one, I still give this 5 stars because not all of the heaters are faulty. If this changes though, I will update. But as of right now I really have no complaints! I would recommend!!

Just today after 3 months , this heater killed 9 of my 10 fishes,The heater should automatically turn off after temp reachs 27.2 degrees, over the time the automatic off circuit did not work it literally boiled my fish and electrocuted them .

It heats the water to 45C (110F) in 10 minutes and keeps heating until boiling. It’s so hot causing the protection mesh deformed. Very unsafe. Wondering who gave them the approval.

I'm a first time fish parent. I have 3 dogs lol but never had any fish of my own. I just got this Betta about a week ago and he hasn't been eating his food. Like he would eat a piece of food and then immediately spit it out. I looked up what could be wrong and something google said was that the water might be too cold. I stuck my finger in there and it was super cold!! So I ordered this little heater and it came in the same day. I've only had it for a couple of hours, but my fish seems so much happier! I tested the original water and it was 64 degrees so im super happy with this purchase. Within an hour and a half, his 5.5 gallon tank was heated to 78! He's swimming around and ate every pellet of food I gave him. Clearly it works well, fast, and seems durable. It's a good size for my smaller tank and I think it will hold up nicely!

This would be a 5 star review because this worked so well. It is a great size, heated up tank nicely, a few times I had to disconnect because it went slightly above 80 degrees, but nothing crazy. I've been using for a few weeks only. I am not sure when it happened, but I was cleaning the whole tank because the water was very foggy and there were high traces of ammonia that just wouldn't go down. My betta fish Nori started staying at the bottom of the tank, not eating, just very odd behavior. I took him out gave him medicine in a medic tank and cleaned the main tank out. It wasn't until I put the heater back on that I noticed it was melted on the backside. I don't know if Nori getting sick is cause of the melted plastic or something else. So this now one star. Could this have exploded? Killed my fish? Don't know thankfully. I see alot of great reviews here people using for months and years, reason why I bought it, but unfortunately this did not work out for me.
