Perfect little mouse
Firstly - It is small - smaller than I had expected at only 11cms from nose to tail on the top, curved part. Anyway, this size suits me as I have fairly small hands, and I'm beginning to think the pain I suffered in the back of my right hand could have been down to my old mouse which was much bigger than this. This one sits just under my fingers with the fattest part (of the mouse) resting in the fleshy part of my hand where fingers meet palm, which is perfect for me. If you have big hands I would not recommend it....it is sold, after all, as a "mini mouse", so take heed. It's light and very responsive, the wheel is quiet and smooth, and the little dongle thing is small and unobtrusive; I use this on my laptop whilst sitting on a fabric covered sofa and have absolutely no problem with it moving over such a surface, Okay, so it doesn't turn itself off, but the little switch on its bottom is easy enough to locate and slide into the Off position. I had expected to see a red light underneath it, like my old mouse, but apparently this is an "invisible optic" so doesn't light up.The packaging was an absolute swine to get into - one of those rigid-slice-your-fingers-to-ribbons plastic things, which I immediately passed to himself whilst I sat back and watched him wrestle with it. I do understand why these items are packaged in this way, but it is not user friendly. One or two reviewers have said they found this flimsy - not my experience. Also that the on/off switch rattles, or is difficult to use - again, this is not the case with mine. All in all a good buy for an effective little beast.

Compact and Reliable
This mouse is a perfect blend of compact design and reliable performance. Despite its small size, the mouse fits comfortably in my hand, making it ideal for on-the-go use. The 1000 DPI optical sensor provides smooth and accurate tracking on various surfaces, enhancing my productivity whether I'm working on documents or browsing the web. The USB receiver is conveniently stored inside the mouse, making it easy to carry around without the risk of losing it.Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with the Logitech M187 Wireless Mouse. It offers everything I need in a portable mouse - reliability, comfort, and performance; Highly recommended!

Fully useful, quality & compact wireless mouse.
Vewry compact and useful mouse. Fits easily into laptop bag and takes one AAA battery which lasts for months. The receiver can be stored in the battery compartment. Its as useful as a full blown mouse and is very precise. Has a scroll wheel and an on/off switch to save battery power (Although to be fair, mines is left on ALL the time and the battery still lasts over 6 months)The mouse used optics for tracking movement, but these are invisible rays (In the past I used to have one that used red light to track movement. That was rather annoying, like staring into a checkout scanner wherever the mouse was upside down). The USB reciever is absolutely tiny and can be left plugged in all the time. You can use the same receiver for a keyboard thats from Logitech as they have "Unifying Technology) thats used to reprogram either the mouse or keyboard to work from the one receiver (This involves downloading some free software from the logitech site)

Great little mouse
It's a great, responsive little mouse. Compact but fully functional!Ergonomic if you've got smaller hands, otherwise it might feel a little cramped to hold for long periods of time. It is pretty much pocket sized though so very good for travel! Pic is of the logitech against my average sized Microsoft mouse, and it really is small! The scroll wheel is smooth but the material gives it excellent grip anyway, the buttons are clicky and responsive, and while you might think it's not working when you can't see the red light for tracking (it's just invisible, rather than the standard red light) , it's very accurate!Absolutely fantastic for a tiny, affordable little wireless mouse!

Wireless Mouse
Logitech Mouse works perfectly in fact the only downside is the cheap plastic cover for the battery compartment this could break eventually I guess but not if you are careful I also like to put the remote device back inside when not in use. It is not too small and nicely compact, portable in size, ideal for transporting around. Mac and Windows OS except it. I switch from one to the other with absolutely no problem at all. Doesn't require a mat as it's laser enables it to function on any surface but I recommend if on a soft surface to be careful as a slight vibration can disturb it and the curser may suddenly float off to some other part of the display inconveniencing you which is annoying if you are typing away and stop briefly only to return to a different place. Anyway trivial stuff Logitech have excelled themselves again with this remarkable mouse I certainly won't be no longer tempted towards a magic mouse solution sorry Big Mac, well not really having a Mac book Pro is enough don't you think.Logitech M187 Wireless Mini Mouse - Black

Didn't last long - won't be buying again
Based on the review score, I thought this mouse would be a lot better. There's nothing special about this mouse.Pros:It's small, so it's handy if you use your laptop in different locations. It's easy to set up (just plug and play), and it's easy to operate. The battery life is average.Cons:It's not ergonomic. The left button is not working properly anymore. I've had this mouse for less than 2 years, and only use it when I need to carry my laptop to meetings, so it hasn't been used that much, but already the left button is failing. I have to use my laptop's left button most of the time - especially for double clicks. This is very frustrating, as I use my left hand for keyboard shortcuts. Now, I'm going to have to discard this mouse and buy a new one. I will not be buying the same one again.
