I bought this CD player for my mom. Although she doesn't have any CDs, I love the SD card playback feature so that's why I purchased it for her. The CD player is very easy to use, and it shuffles all of the music. Unlike most MP3 players where the shuffle function is burried in menus, the shuffle function was extremely easy to find. I filled up an SD card with at least 780 songs on it for my mom and she absolutely loves it.This player is perhaps the simplest MP3 player to purchase due to the fact that there are no extra complicated features on it. You can connect it to external speakers if you need for the volume to be louder, but if you just want something to put on your night stand to listen to some music while you sleep, this unit is the one for you. Its built-in speakers aren't extremely loud, but they do the job quite nicely and they're very clear.I was amazed that you could still find CD players in 2020 because I thought that the CD format was dead, but obviously not. I love the fact that it will play music from SD cards because that is the best format to play music from in the first place if you do not have any way of streaming music.This player is great for those who do not have smart phones but yet want to listen to lots and lots of music. I highly recommend this to anybody who wants a simple and easy way to play MP3 files without having to spend a boatload of money on some complicated MP3 player that does everything under the sun.This player is not a jack of all trades and that's a good thing. Simplicity is really best. It also has a light up screen so that you can see it in the dark, And due to its overall simplicity, it is great for blind and visually impaired people as well. No, it doesn't have talking menus but due to its simplicity, you can't go wrong with this player.I also love the fact that it is rechargeable. That's a huge plus because that means no more buying batteries. If I could give it 10 stars, I would due to the fact that this player shuffles the music and the shuffle function is very easy to implement without having to wade through countless menus to find it. It is truly a relief to find something this simple in today's world of over complicated music players that do everything under the sun. I may buy more of these players in the future for others.Also this is great for the elderly as well since it is so simple. And because it has shuffle capabilities, you could simply load up an SD card full of music that the elderly like and then show them how to use it and they'll have countless hours of music to listen to while they sleep, play bingo or whatever. Like I said, this is a great thing to have since it is so simple and not complicated.If you connect the player to a pair of really good speakers, then your grandparents will have a really nice stereo system in their room. It also makes a great gift for the college student on your list as well.Using it inside a dorm room makes perfect sense since it is very portable and doesn't take up very much space. And because it has its own built-in speakers that means that you can listen to it by your bedside without worrying about booming out your neighbors.So if I were you, I would definitely jump on this right now and get it while you still can. Just remember that the more music you store onto an SD card, the more random the playback will be when you do turn on the shuffle mode. And believe me, you'll absolutely love playing your music in the shuffle mode because it will be like listening to your own private radio station but without all of the talking and commercials.So get it today!

My recent purchase of Portable Monodeal CD Player Model MD-109 has not disappointed so far. Being an avid listener of audiobooks which I take with me everywhere and listen to in the car, doing chores, while cooking, I tried to sort through all the CD player choices when my current DVD player died and focused on those reviews showing good sound quality, something over the years that I've experienced being a common issue with portable audio products. This little player has so far performed well with no skips and with good clear audio that is loud enough both in the car and around the house doing chores. The buttons are easy enough to navigate, being able to get back to areas to double check things easy also, and the battery holds up well and takes far less time to fully charge than I expected from the little instruction booklet. It is also a plus that there is an instruction booklet and it is very well done! So far I am very pleased with my Monodeal Portable CD player and would look favorably on this brand in the future.

The CD player is super light, plays well, and is “old school” just how I like it. I really enjoy the fact that it has built in speakers so headphones aren’t always required and the fact that it doesn’t require actual batteries like my old one from years ago is a huge improvement! Only reason why not 5 stars is that it is made of plastic and some of the parts seem like they’re not going to be too durable, but time will tell.

I bought this to replace the worn-out cd player in my car. Using the Auxiliary hook up it has excellent sound and functions well. I hate to try to change cd's while I am driving (in fact, it is so big a problem that I pull off the road to attempt the task.) If I am depending on the speakers built into the unit, the sound quality drops dramatically. You simply cannot get good bass response from speakers that small. It also sounds great with good headphones. I wonder if anyone makes an external CD player that will hook up to the auxiliary jack on my car radio, but has a regular slot where I can just insert and eject a disc without having to open a lid like this one has?

This is a nice lightweight CD player and it's rechargeable. I was given the opportunity to review this MONODEAL MD-109 and would highly recommend, even without Bluetooth which I wish it had. The sound is great with the headset, which is corded, with good separation. Without the headset, the sound is a little tinny. One good thing is it doesn’t skip like some, and it goes back to where you left off instead of having it start in the beginning, which is another plus especially for audio book listeners. Also, it has a micro TF card slot for up to 32GB so you can play your old MP3 music, too (card is not included). If you have a good portable speaker to plug into, that would be awesome to have your own mini boombox.Mode toggles between Repeat, All, Shuffle. Equalizer toggles between various presets like Classic, BBS, Pop, Jazz and Rock. However it does not keep your last choice when you shut it down.My car has a CD player but I did try the 3.5mm cable to connect. Had to turn car volume up more but it worked great. This is a nice CD player that’s rechargeable and does what it’s supposed to do. It comes with a little velour pouch to carry or store it in. Definitely recommend.

So far, this player works as expected. I like the bright pink color, and I also like that the CD will start playing again where I left off. Easy to use and great sound quality.

I bought this for my vehicle. You don't need batteries for this. It charges via USB and if you have USB in your vehicle better yet. The cd sound quality from the external speakers fills my whole vehicle up it is amazing. It doesn't skip when I drive and go over bumps on the road. Best CD player ever!!!!! Buy it. I swear you won't be dissapointed

Received the item from US in about 10 days. Loved the rechargeable battery using a standard USB C cable. The speaker sounded surprisingly good. My issue is there are to many buttons and still need time to know which is for what purpose. Though the backlight is great to help in that aspect.

My car does not come with a CD and this little item does the trick. It's lightweight, compact and for what it is good sound. I'm very happy with it and glad I bought it. It looks pretty good too. Instruction manual a little vague but easy to work out and operate. More fun getting to know what it can do.

I just received this cd player a few days ago. My cd player in my vehicle stopped working and I like to listen to audiobooks on cd as well as music. This little cd player is easy to use and the sound quality is good.....but my major complaint is that the volume is not loud enough. I tried to wash dishes with it on the table beside me, but it was not possible due to insufficient volume. I will be keeping this player because I can use the earphones in the car....but more volume would sure increase it's usefulness (especially if you're an older person).
