Not quite as good as it should be
The lamp itself is a great design and easy to use. The flexibility of the head position will be of benefit to me as I build model kits. The light levels and colour balance (yes, colour does indeed have a "u" in ) and are easily selectable. However, I doubt it emits the specified 500+ lumens, more like 300 ? I have a 6w 470 lumen globe bulb in a clamp light and it's a lot brighter than this lamp. I was also a little disappointed in the length of the lead from the mains adapter as it only just reaches the table top from the floor. This means that I have to position the lamp near the edge of the table which isn't always the best position due to the light distribution from the lamp head. Finally, the plastic finish of the lamp is black plastic and it's the same as my Acer 24" 4K computer monitor, it only needs a slight brush from a soft, yellow duster and it's got hundreds of tiny scratches on the surface which are highlighted immediately when the lamp is on. Altogether not a bad lamp but I think it 's worth about £15 tops.

Great aesthetics and functionality for an excellent price
There are lot of LED desk lamps which share similar designs and features. I bought this one due to its functionality/price ratio.First of this lamp is very bright. It can easily light up a small room. This is important to me especially when using my PC for several hours each day, as it reduces eye strain. Each of the 7 brightness levels are noticeable and offers further versatility. LED lamps (and LEDs in general) are known to be bright whilst using little power and this one is no different. The 5 colour temperatures a must have when using it throughout the day. I use each one as the day progresses; first setting in the day and the fifth at night. This helps me sleep better and again it reduces eye strain as the colour temp is easier on the eyes. The lamp has a good amount of adjustment as there are 4 axes. This is very useful for directing the light at a certain point. Personally, I use it to shine against the wall for light diffusion. The 1 hour timer is pretty much standard on LED desk lamps and works just fine. The night light is surprisingly bright at night (I only tested this once) so it's up to you if benefit from this feature. Again the night light can be found on other lamps. The USB on the rear of the base is pretty useful if you want have your phone charged nearby or to run a USB fan. Either way, it's a nice feature to have. One minor con with the lamp is the build material. It scratches easily, even with a microfiber cloth. However, these scratches can only be seen under direct light and is unnoticeable from normal use.Reliability has yet to be seen (so far so good) and AUKEY provides a 2 year warranty. Overall this lamp does what I want it do to. Provide bright lighting and reduce eyestrain for a great price.

An LED table lamp that won't break the bank but will look nice.
For the price (£28) this is actually a very nice lamp when compared to some other LED table lamps.Instead of a long description I will just list the pro's and con's..Pro's:1. It's quite sturdy.2. Great looking with a modern minimalistic design.3. Nice levels of colour modes from warm to cool.4. Convenient levels of light from its dimmest upwards.5. Can be positioned to multiple angles.6. Great price.Con's:1. There is some wobble if the table you are at is not solid.2. It's made in a piano black finish which makes it a dust, fingerprint and scratch magnet. This is more obvious at night when the lamp is on.3. In my opinion I would have liked the "touch-sensitive" buttons to have illuminated slightly at night. That said, the "night mode" button has a tiny light beneath it (lit constantly). The "sleep mode" button does have a tiny light beneath it also but only when activated.Overall, it's well worth the money and does the job perfectly. I'm very happy with it but it's missing a star for some minor things :)I hope this helps!?

Wonderfully versatile lamp, still working over a year later
Bought to help me see while doing nail art. It’s perfect...base is stable even when the light is pivoted forward, now I have overhead light to see by to do my nails without the base being in the way taking up space.Plenty of settings...full power white light to work by to soft warm glow...highly recommendedEdit August 2020...still going strong over a year later...the only lamp I’ve bought from Amazon that has lasted...fantastic

Excellent desk light with a few shortcomings.
First impression - well packed in stout cardboard box, lots of protective padding inside plus user manual and 24 month guarantee card right on top. Lots of protective plastic wrapping around the light components. Quality feel right off the mark.Unpacked the power adapter and cord and that's where my complaints lie. First, the adapter plug is made with the power cord coming out over the earth pin. I have a square 4-way 230v outlet on extension cord and this device has now taken up two outlets!! How stupid is that?Second, the cable from adapter to light is far too short to be able to position the light on my desk properly. Do manufacturers honestly believe that everyone has a power outlet in the optimum position to suit their device? Surely it doesn't cost that much to add another 24 inches of cable and give the user a bit more flexibility?Switched the light on and the amount of light for my desk is great and the ability to twist and turn the lamp and its support is really good too.Come on manufacturers, sort out the wiring issues, please.

Great desk lamp.
I wanted a versatile desk lamp and following a search, It came down to two. I chose this one and I'm glad I did.I just got it delivered, unpacked it and turned it on. Having a good play with it, it does so much more than a simple desk lamp (colour temp, timer, etc). The main reason I chose this one over a very popular one, is you can turn the lamp head away from you, thus reducing the glare in the eyes.
