Lift with ease
The shocks work as described. The hatch lifts easy now. At first it was a little resistant going down, but that was worked itself out. I have had them in for about a month. The look and color of these have matched up and look good. These are worth the money you pay. Thanks for a great product.

DOES NOT FIT ON VEHICLE IN TITLE
the top bracket is not designed in such a way that the support can swing out to connect at the bottom. This also did not screw into the bracket I had to remove, so this product is COMPLETELY USELESS to an XJ owner unless they happen to have top brackets these can thread into.

Worked great Jeep XJ
Bought these for my daughter’s Jeep XJ to replace the stick she was using to hold up her lift gate. These installed quickly and are definitely way safer than a stick!

Using on my 2000 Jeep XJ Cherokee
I installed these on my 2000 Jeep XJ Cherokee because the supports that were on it were getting tired and sometimes would not open the door all the way, especially in the cold. Unlike the US-made name-brand supports I’ve installed before, these came without the ends connected to them. At first I just un-threaded my old one from the hatch-side mount and threaded this one in, but then I realized that the mounts included with these were a little longer, which was needed to achieve the same overall length, so swapped those on instead and this allowed the rear hatch to open fully. To me they seem to be a bit lower quality than the supports I've used before, both on the hatch-side mounts, and where the main rod enters the shock, both of these points have more play in them. Time will tell how long they last, but for now they are working fine.
