Had it for 3 days and am very impressed with how effortlessly cracks almonds, and Brazil nuts - which have always been a struggle with traditional cracker designs. Even more impressive is that barely any nutshells fall out of the cracking bowl so it’s very tidy.Only slight worry is that within a few minutes I discovered that two of the studs in the bowl had broken off - possibly after the first or second but was cracked. But this hasn’t effected the performance and hopefully more will not break off.

Happy with my nutcracker. Fast delivery. Well packed and so far it works well. Obviously only used it a couple of times as I have just received it. Breaks almonds and hazelnuts with no issues. Less messy as it is contained mechanism. Easy to use and does the job! 5*

Compared to the old pliers type nut crackers that many of us have used these are a vast improvement. When it comes to operation drop the nut in, firm squeeze and bingo nut shell cracks easily without littering bits of shell everywhere. Not only that it leaves the nut unbroken. Better news is that having used it regularly over Christmas not once did anyone smash their knuckles. I'd give it a 5 except I'm nit convinced by the longlivity of the wooden handles had they been alloy I personally think they'd be much stronger. That said a good product fir the money.

This cost more than I’d normally spend on a nutcracker, BUT it’s fantastic!! All those recalcitrant almonds you chuck in the garden thinking a squirrel might take? A thing of the past! I’m just sorry nuts in shells are only in the supermarket in December! It’s easy to use, and so much fun! Get one! No more breaking the rubbish ones on a Brazil and resorting to the hammer and teatowel trick!

Unsurprisingly I tried to use this product to crack nuts. It lasted for about a week before the handle fell off, and another couple of days before it sheared completely. It is certainly not heavy duty. If you only want to crack hazelnuts you should be okay, but it struggles with anything beyond that. If I had the box I’d be trying for a replacement/refund. Instead I have lost £9.99.
