USB hub works perfectly. I have a non-functional USB port on one of my older laptops. This hub allows me to add more USB devices to my laptop without having to constantly switch them out. A great buy!

Fantastic item at a great price

I say this works mostly. No need to provide a pic because it looks exactly like the picture, but the reason for "mostly" is because I have one device - an external USB mic (KLIM - Voice Gaming USB desk mic, to be exact) that I could not get to work with it. My old hub worked perfectly but didn't have a 3.5 MM jack, so I bought this one, and everything else works except the mic. It won't even appear on the USB-3 port, and will appear on the USB-2 ports but still won't work. I'm sure I'll eventually figure out what the problem is (since I can get it to appear), but this should be just plug-and-play. Everything else works perfectly, though...even the 3.5 MM jack, so I'm happy overall. I should also comment on the the USB-A/USB-C adapter. It works fine, and though I didn't do a speed test, I didn't notice a difference. It's also very solid and well-built. It's not cheap plastic and whatnot. It's made of metal (feels like it...I've been fooled before), and everything is nice and tight the way it should be (I've bought others that were loose and flimsy). With the exception of that mic, this is a really good product; and since it doesn't require its own power source, it's easy to take with you if you have to. It's very slim - way thinner than my computer, and it looks good.

I mounted this to the back of my monitor with Velcro next to mini pc. It keepsy small desk clutter free and gives me a USB C port and sd port I was missing. Very durable and well built. Runs very smoothly.

This device SHOULD work exactly the same as plugging your device directly into the USB adapter but I'm very disappointed to find that's not at all the case. I have a Samsung S20 FE Android phone that gives me a "slow charging" message when I try to use this USB extender w/it to charge it up as it was almost dead. I decided to ignore the error but then my phone died so I then unplugged my phone from this device and plugged it directly into a generic USB adapter, which worked out fine (as expected) but this is a bummer bc I was trying to save my USB ports on my laptop for other things that I need for work (like my 3 dongles for my Wireless keyboard, mouse, and headset) by using this USB extender but now I have to use one of my two laptop USB ports for yet another device that needs a port. Decided to simply switch out one ofcthe dongles frombthe laptop's USB Port to the USB Extender, only to find that my wireless mouse dongle doesn't work in this device either, even though this device is plugged directly into the laptops USB port and since I only have 2 USB ports available on my laptop, I'm now needing to buy yet something else. Sheesh! Seriously dissatisfied and disappointed and also thinking it's mainly made to charge your devices in a car but that's not what I need nor was it the reason I purchased it. Oh well. I suppose I should have know the price was too good to solve my problem.
