Charles Ryrie did good work. The leather bind is nice

Nice bible, hits just the right depth with its use of language, not too simplistic but not King James either!

I bought this having read the other reviews which said it was easy to read and the notes were so great!No one said how small the writing is ( I guess being a retired computer tech the notes are about an 8 point and the main text about a 9)I cannot read them for long without strain and in terms of bible study, no good for me.I havn't found anywhere either, if the text of the NASV is post '71 let alone a 2005 edition where it was updated.All in All my conclusion is that for me it is no good but that is a subjective opinion, of course.I will send it back.

I just started flipping through it, and already found a printing error. 1 Corinthians 11:24 is missing the word "This". My copy says '24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me" 'Red letter text errors are the worst kind of ommission! A disappointing start

I love the daily verses where you can read the bible in 1 year if you follow it. I love the commentary, it's easy to read and follow. I bought one for my mom because I really love it. Ryrie probably spent a lot of time and dedication to put this together and I think it's worth the money. Also, the NASB was an amazing choice to create a study bible. It's very easy to understand. Yes, the pages are thin, but that's with all bibles.

I received today the NASB Ryrie Study Bible 2012 in burgundy genuine leather. Because of some not so good reviews, I was cautiously awaiting a possible disappointing surprise. Then, I spent hours today perusing this Bible. Let's talk about the superficial stuff first: Though it is pasted, it is tape reinforced. Even better, and there is no mention in the description, it is Smyth-sewn from what I can see. Finally, the format of the text is well structured and despite my tired eyes, I can read the text! I wished the paper would have been a bit thicker, and the verse numbering just a bit larger. Otherwise, and at this price point, this Bible passes my superficial test.But more importantly, the content of the commentary notes is concise and simple. The bigger surprise to me is that when compared to other "fancier" study Bible that I have, this content is thorough, precise and encompassing. For a Study Bible, the Ryrie is small, however, it is packed with truly meaningful information. Godspeed Dr. Ryrie wherever in Heaven you are!

Good Book for Bible Study.

It has all the comments that one could want. or wish for Easy to read and with the notes, great help in understanding what the Holy Spirit is putting into one's heart.
