Love this book
Love this book. Still reading and flipping back and forth. The links provided in this book are very helpful and a great aide in helping to determine a media hosting source and much more. Provides numerous examples regarding equipment based on needs, types of podcasts, info regarding podcast preparations, getting an audience, advertising, overall excellent advice regarding do's and don't's. I think that if you're like me and just getting involved in podcasting, this is an excellent resource and reference book to give you the info you need to get started. Well worth the purchase.

Great info! Just be sure you research some of the advice
I know I am going to be keeping this one for a while. It is literally the A - Z on podcasting, from the "are you sure you want to do this?" to the final bow. It is explained in clear language and has definitions. I appreciate that! I also like how there are tips and ideas clearly marked by recognizable icons. The ONLY thing - be sure to research some of the info and recommendations. I was all set to purchase some equipment and some software the authors raved about, when I checked several sites and discovered that both the equipment and software received bad reviews all over the place (actual reviews, not paid for reviews) and / or recommendations for better, cheaper, and newer stuff. Also, the technical "how to set up" was a little over my head, but that's just me- I'm not good at that stuff. The good thing is, it confirmed it :)

Everything You Need Is In This Book!
I like how it's laid out in a really intuitive structure, really bringing you through every step of producing a podcast. I am not a technically minded person, but the way Tee Morris and Chuck Tomasi explain things in at least two different ways made it so I always understood what they were talking about. Podcasting suddenly became less intimidating when it was broken down in to bite size chunks!

It’s a good book to give you a good direction and materials needed. It obviously was easy to understand and follow along. I really recommend this book for the people who feel over whelmed in starting something new.

The usual Dummies approach to a subject: comprehensive and understandable.
That I am a little late to the 'thinking about making a podcast' party is evidenced by the fact that most tutorial books on the subject are a decade old or more. My advice would be to avoid these overly dated tomes and go for one of the more recent guides to getting the right equipment and using it properly. I'm happy enough to recommend this 3rd Edition of 'Podcasting for Dummies' which is about as up to date as they get: published November 2017.The information is, as you'd expect, both thorough and presented in an easily digestible manner. Always best to assume that you know nothing and approach guides such as this from that blank slate mentality methinks, otherwise, your own (often wrongly informed) opinion can negatively influence the learning experience. Do so and you won't be disappointed by the hardware endorsements, audio configurations advice, recording basics and beyond right through to audience reach and monetization methods. It won't guarantee you success any more than those books which have 'guaranteed success' in the title would do, but it will give you the best introduction to establishing a successful podcast without making the same mistakes that many others have along the way.

Just what I needed to get up and running
I’ve been wanting to start a podcast for over a year but never knew where to begin.I would get overwhelmed looking online and this book is a great starter guide. I’m happy to say I have the brand of my podcast and have published 3 episodes :)
