The best I've used
I've used several capsule based coffee makers and this one comes out on top, by a mile! It's a good size, without being too big on the kitchen worktop. It is noticeably quieter than other machines I've used, including other Bosch Tassimo ones. The whole pod system is great, they can be picked up 'on offer' in most supermarkets and really are as easy as putting in the machine and pressing go! No watching the water level or guessing how much you need to fill the cup with on the 2-part drinks. There also isn't a single drip of water/coffee from the pods when you take them out of the machine.

The best Tassimo machine
Our very first Tassimo was the Fidelio back in 2013 and we were very pleased with it and it lasted us until 2017. 4 Years for a machine that was at the time over £100 may not seem very long lasting but a serious number of coffee's et al had gone through this machine before it died on us. We replaced it with a Tassimo Charmy as it had a much smaller foot print. That was 2 years ago, it too has died due to a leak somewhere inside the totally un-serviceable body. Of course when one gets used to using a coffee machine, inevitably one stocks up on consumables so changing to another manufacturer can leave you with a stock of unusable pods as none are interchangeable. For us though we struck lucky and managed to find a new Tassimo Fidelio on Amazon ( which we should have stuck with). It arrived today and it is business as usual on the coffee front in this household........Zinnnnnng!

It's novel!
Bought as a birthday gift for my husband, it is compact, therefore aesthetically pleasing, it makes lovely coffee, proper coffee compared to instant. It takes a bit of getting use too and you have to be patient whilst you make one drink at a time. It's noisy so I wouldn't want to make a coffee early morning whilst the rest of the family are asleep upstairs - but for use throughout the day it's now part of our every day routine!

Bosch Tassimo T40 Coffee Machine
I bought this machine to replace my old T32, which finally broke after 4 years of heavy daily use. So far I am very impressed with the T40, mostly because of its 2 litre water tank, the T32 only had a 0.7 litre tank, so for someone who drinks several cups of coffee a day this is a much better machine as I average about 6 large cups before the tank needs refilling. Really easy to use straight out of the box, no filters to worry about, just rinse the water tank and fill with water, run the machine through a few cleaning cycles using the supplied cleaning / descaling disc that is in the back of the machine behind the water tank and you're ready to start brewing all your favourite Tassimo beverages. If you drink a lot of coffee as I do I would highly recommend this machine as I believe it has one of the largest water tanks of all the Tassimo machines.

Not to my taste
I like a full bodied hot coffee, but I find the drinks rather lukewarm and watery from the Tassimo. The machine is compact and doesn't take up much room, it's very quick and it does a great job in making the coffee, but no matter what blend I try I feel disappointed with the taste.

Love it!
I do find the pods expensive but we do use it for guests and just a few times a week - and it's lovely! Well worth buying as a luxury! It is worth finding cups that fit the drinks. Have a google as they all hold different amounts of ml then type in amazon the amount... if your cup is a little too big try topping up with water (I find some of the hot chocolates are nicer with a touch more water - milka for example). 275ml and 335ml glass latte glasses have been spot on for the lattes, we have 285/300ml cups for hot chocs, americano's/kencos etc (considering you add milk), 250ml cups for the cappuccino.... be careful though - if a listing says 300ml and your drink is 300ml - it will overflow :) You will need to allow more room ;)Also if you are making a regular coffee, just pop in your cleaning disc and get instant hot water!
