When you order "one", it's one package with several in the pack. So it's worth the money.I don't think that it has much of any taste when raw. But when you heat it up in food, then the taste comes and is a very good, sweet taste.I haven't used these long yet. So I will need to wait for giving any information for health benefits.But I am happy with my purchase. Will be continuing to re-order.Update: I was eating one bulb almost every day. I finally had two left. I put it into my spaghatti, and chopped it up in the food. After starting eating it, I soon started seeing red, white & blue lights in my vision, especially when I closed my eyes. I could see my brain's electrical currents. It was extremely scary. My vision became very blurred and the lights became brighter & brigher. I had to call 911. My blood pressure was high. But by the time that they arrived, my vision was back to normal and the lights stopped. So I didn't let them take me to the hospital. But I immediately took "activated charcoal" to rid the bacteria from my body. I was fine the next day.I haven't ate any since then, and I haven't had the medical problem again.I praise God that I ate only a bite or two of some small chucks of it that day, instead of the entire bulb that I normally would do most days. I would hate to think what would happen if I had eaten the entire bulb that day.I believe it was because I didn't refrigarate it.The container only said to keep in a cool dry place, which I did.Although I can't prove it, I believe that it was Clostridium botulinum (Botulism).I am not necessarily blaming the manufactuer, but I think that the package should be changed to keep refrigated after opening.But now I am scared to ever eat them again. So I cancelled by subscription.Thank GOD that I am alive to tell the story.

I like black garlic better than regular garlic. It is definitely unique in flavor and texture.

Nutritious, great price, well packaged

I'm a big fan of garlic, but I've never tried black garlic. It's hard to evaluate, because I'm so fond of traditional garlic, raw or roasted.It has a mild flavor and a smooth texture. Each bulb is a single clove.The color is a little hard to accept, because it's so...black!The texture is smooth but firm; a bit too firm to spread on toast, but easily mashed.But when it comes to food seasoning, it's all about the flavor, right? The flavor is so mild I wouldn't want to add it to something that's heavily seasoned, but there are a lot of possibilities. I have several left that I can use to experiment with some of my recipes that call for garlic.

Five stars because it's beautiful, nicely made. I thought I would really truly love black garlic being a garlic farmer, I decided to order some of this to see if I would like to start making some to offer my customers but this is one of the worst things I have ever put in my mouth and that's saying a lot LOL ; wink wink

This is the second time I have ordered this particular black garlic. The quality of the product is exceptional. It arrived on time and was sealed properly

I liked that this product was organic and the price was reasonable, so I purchased this small container to try it out. The taste was OK. Not so sweet and fruity like some other ones I have had. This one tasted a bit musty to me. This was the kind of garlic that didn’t have the separate cloves, but one big bulb-like whole instead. This did not work for me since I wanted to eat one clove at a time everyday for a snack. I didn’t want to chop them up. Also, this product is made in China. It is organic but is made in China, if that matters to you.
