The add for this unit says outdoor fire pit. When I purchased it the instructions say do not burn anything inside this unit only in a small metal tray. I sent it back was disappointed.

Other reviews made me lenient but this is solid. Many fires in and not one issue. Looks way better than just metal. Now we just need to build a formal fire pit area.

We liked that it is lightweight enough to move. Holds just enough wood for a nice size fire and easy to clean.

Believe all the reviews that say this is brittle. I thought the cracks in others reviews were shipping errors. It’s not. We’ve used this fire pit 3 times and because it’s a fireplace, it’s been outside. Well, with the rainy summer season this thing has been water boarded. The top and sides have swollen and cracked and fallen apart. Cement/stone shouldn’t do that. This thing is painted plaster or some other mixed medium that should not be exposed to water and humidity. I have a wood cubby shelf by my front door in our screened in patio and that has held up better than this “stone” fireplace. Buyer beware, look elsewhere.

This fire pit looks very nice out of the package and is quite easy to assemble. However, it is very cheaply made and not durable. It didn't even make it through 1 season before pieces started chipping & the "painted" surface started coming off. Very disappointing.
