Great even if you're not employed as a Salesforce Admin
Great for building soft skills! There's a chapter (10) on communication, but I find that communication is actually an overarching theme. Jodi emphasizes asking the right questions and even provides very well-worded questions and statements to accomplish information-gathering and setting expectations in different contexts and in a very diplomatic fashion. If you feel like your communication may not come across as confident as you'd like, try some of Jodi's suggestions on articulating your point of view, avoiding unnecessary apologies, and being able to say no in a way that helps you calm the chaos but isn't a complete rejection of the request.I had put off reading Part 2 because I don't have any chaos to calm just yet. There are, nonetheless, gems in there about realistic timelines, scope creep, and overall, it informed my understanding of what to expect in a job like Salesforce Admin. In my opinion the book shows how going the extra mile doesn't necessarily mean more work in the long run.I haven't been hired in Salesforce ecosystem (yet), but I volunteer with a nonprofit and read most of Jodi's book early on in my volunteer experience. I have found it very useful for gathering requirements, exploring and advising on new ideas for features to implement. Also, I believe it's made me more prepared for interviews. To top it off, it truly is well-written.

A guidebook, mentorship, and reality check in one awesome book
As an Admin with years of mid-level experience soon starting her first senior role, this was and fantastic read. I took tons of notes and absorbed many of the words of wisdom the author shared. I found it VERY relatable and practical. I especially liked the "Estimation Equation" and tips on saying no/preventing scope creep.I'll be referring back to this and recommending to my Salesforce Admin peers!

What a life saver! A must read for all Salesforce Professionals!
This is one of the few books that I can actually say changed my life. I’ve been in the Salesforce ecosystem for about 5 years now and boy did I learned a lot! I went in with an open mind and left thoughtful! The first few chapters were so important that I paused my reading immediately, and applied some of the concepts in an org I recently inherited! In addition, this is the only book that I’ve read all the way through, from the introduction to the acknowledgement and end notes. Jodi found a way to drop extra nuggets in the acknowledgement section (I noted a few names to look up later and learn from), and a lot of nuggets in the end notes! This has to be the Bible for Salesforce Admins! If you want to succeed in your role as a Salesforce Admin, this is a must have! I’ll be using this book as a reference going forward! I enjoyed every words, nuggets, and insights provided. Thanks again Jodi, ps I heard from a podcast interview, you mentioned you’re writing another book - I’ll be on a lookout for your next book!!

Amazing Book for Salesforce Professionals
This book is an amazing resource for any Salesforce professional, whether you're new to the game, or you've been here for years. Admittedly, I'm fairly new, but this book has given me invaluable insights with Jodi’s 20-year experience. She shares questions to ask to your users and stakeholders, real-world advice, and scenarios—and she wraps it all up in easily accessible language and pop-culture references (including the Winchester Mystery House that literary made my chuckle and made my husband look at me).One of the things I admire the most, other than her general writing style—which is amazing—is that in the introduction she not only explains what the book is, but also what the book ISN'T. You can enter the book with open eyes, knowing full well what to expect. People won't read it and be disappointed that it isn't a walkthrough.I highly recommend this book to anyone to anyone within the ecosystem. There's a reason so many people rave about it. Buy it, read it, use it as a reference. Get those sticky notes and flag the tips that speak to you. I did. I start a new job soon and even started reading it again. It's that good.

I highly recommend Jodi's book for Salesforce Admins everywhere, from beginners to people who have been in this role for a while. I also feel their colleagues and leaders will benefit from understanding more about how to collaborate with and empower Salesforce Admins to thrive with their gifts of adding value for their organizations!!I've been in the Salesforce ecosystem for over 7 years, and I would have loved having this book to guide me as a solo Salesforce admin then. A must for all Salesforce peeps
Awesome book. Details at its best. Delivering some great information that I I haven’t found anywhere else. There would be tons of online videos on how to do a thing in salesforce, but this book helps what and how to think before you put your hands on keyboard. Tons of examples to understand what questions needs to be asked to stakeholders to get the right information. Now I have several different options to get the conversation started and make progress and decide which way to proceed. Double worth the time and money spent.

Awesome Book!! 👌
The top 3 topics covered in this book I found very powerful:✨ Have an Ownership Mindset: "It means you are willing to lead and innovate instead of accepting the status quo."✨ Be Proactive: Go where ideas are and see what other Salesforce admins are doing that might add value for your users. Rev up your creativity to consider where you can utilize your Salesforce Admin craftiness to give them a little 'something extra' that packs a punch.✨ Always Take Care of Yourself: To thine own self be true—don’t do anything that would go against your true nature. While you may have a lot of enthusiasm and energy to become a 'Rockstar', do take care of your physical and mental health."Thanks, Jodi Hrbek for the wonderful book.

A invaluable resource for a SF Admin. Way better than the Title makes it seem
I read this book as part of my preparation for my first full time SF Admin role. It distills a career's worth of wisdom, advise and practical steps to take into a very readable and well laid out book. Essential for a new Admin and I've come back to this multiple times over my first year.Have also implemented many of the tips with success. The only thing I don't like is the Title, which is quite corny!
