Excellent for problem framing
I have found this book to be very useful for broadly framing the API management problem space. This is a book I go back to many times for getting a second opinion on the scope of an issue, common patterns, governance, and API lifecycle management. So if you are new to API management then you'll need this book to understand how broad this area is and if you are a veteran you can use this book as a check point to make sure you haven't missed something you meant to cover.

Perfect for my needs
Most software developers, for fun or for a class, have written a simple "hello world" API and deployed it to a web server. Having written RESTful APIs at work but outside of an API Management platform, this book fills in the gaps. This book has helped to expand my previously narrow API understanding. Could have read it free online through a training site at work, but after reading some of it that way and finding value, decided to spring for the paper version. The book is clearly written. For my needs, the writing style doesn't need to be fun - understanding the information is most important, and this book is straight-forward with good information. My only suggestion would be to explain some of the business concepts in further detail.

Definition Dump
Got this title from Apress publishers. In one word, "dry"; Found it to be a rather verbose data-dump of definitions, rarely engaging with the reader on the subject in a way that was enlightening. There are better resources on API management out there.

Very useful
A great book. Good structure, good technical approach, practical examples well chosen. Well done! One only advice, go for it, you won"t regret it. To learn more about the APIs and/or to get started with them, it is of great support. Not a newby book and neither a full dev book, it has the right tone and the right content.
