... and many of the guides suggested this is the best powerline on the market
I did a lot of research and many of the guides suggested this is the best powerline on the market. We had develo 500mbs before and these are noticeably quicker with fewer wifi drops too. The build quality is very nice and it they are simply plug n play. We bought the starter pack too because we wanted to have a strong connection in three rooms. I really like the fact it creates a wifi hotspot instead of just extending a weak signal. They are at the top end of the market but if want good internet and don't want your wifi dropping all the time they are worth the money. Nothing worse than spending loads of money on a nice tv, mobile phone or computer only to have a rubbish internet connection at home.

Great performance and customer service!
My previous Develo WiFi unit burned out after 7 yrs of great service. I initially replaced with the wrong starter kit but after a call with Develo customer service I was informed of the unit to buy which was simple on Amazon with immediate refund for wrong purchase.I struggled to pair up the units at first because the base unit had previously been paired with the last WiFi unit but another call to Develo customer service showed me how to reset to factory settings and pair again. Works a treat now, by far the best WiFi extender using the ring main on the market, not cheap, but you get quality!

Good but big
These items are good but BIG.They are very easy to use and setup and are pretty much ready out of the box although you'll quite likely want to use a downloadable app to configure them to your preferred WiFi name and password. They work well and speeds are good.Main gripe is the size of them. Main plug is not as big as those giving off wifi and with extra network ports but the two that do are not far off small house bricks and I came across many plugs that would have been perfect to locate them but wouldn't take them due to the available space above them. You need a good 6 inches clear above the top of any electrical socket, otherwise they won't fit.Great devices, just need space.

Easy to install, but doesn't offer best speed out of the box
I bought this adapter as a backup for my installation at home that exists of 4 adapters spread around the house. It was really easy and fast to install and works now perfectly stable without any disruptions. However, the adapter has "MIMO & VDSL profile 17a" in the VDSL settings activated by default what displayed a speed of 120-150MBit/s in the Devolo Windows application while all the other adapters in my network are between 250 and 450MBit/s depending on location and direction. After I switched that to "MIMO & VDSL profile 35b" it increased to the speed of the other adapters.Unfortunately, there is no description of the VDSL settings anywhere in the provided documentation.

Increase my speed by 10-20mbps
I, like many, am now working from home in a makeshift home office. This involves internet virtual meetings regularly on top of any pre existing internet demand in the house (TV/streaming/phones/Sonos system etc).Whilst not 'poor' my wifi signal in the office was at best reaching 40.4mbps, sometimes as low as 25mbps (with an average of 32mbps). I therefore wanted to improve my internet speed to the computer and make it 'immune' to other wifi demands. Also ethernet connections are more stable - so I am less likely to 'cut out' in the middle of a meeting due to wifi fluctuations.I therefore (after lots of research) went for the Devlo Lan 550+ kit - as I wanted 2 ethernet ports in the office. One for the computer, one for the Sonos/Ikea Symphonisk lamp. People go for the 1200 and 2400 untis - but you need to look at your internet connection speed. If like me you have 50mbps coming in - 550 is far above this! Having 1200+ would serve me no benefit. The unit came, was simple to install (plug in, press pair button - ready!) and has consistently brought my speed up to an average of 50.2mbps. Considering I have a 50mbps BT Fibre package - this is a good result indeed. I ran multiple broadband speed tests (Ofcom), in different locations and at different times to validate the results.I can conclusively say that by switching from wifi in my home office to ethernet via the Devolo LAN 550+ I have gained between 10-20mbps increase in internet speed. Objectively, consistently and validated via repeat testing.
