I tried almost any product available on the self tanning market throughout the years, but none of those products worked like this one.I was skeptical, and I tested a tiny amount of the product on my forearm using a cotton pad. I've waited and I loved the color after the first application. I applied it once again, just a tiny bit. My skin was dark! (see pic)This self tanner is worth every penny. Not only because of the results, but also because you won't need much to get your natural sunkissed tan! Furthermore, it will last 10 days, so this 250ml bottle is really a good deal!The product itself is a white mousse, and it's very easy and pleasant to apply. It dries quickly and it disappears. The tan develops in 6 hours. It's not yellow, it's not golden, it's not orange: it's BROWN. A very deep tan, so sexy and healthy looking!Another plus: even after several hours, your skin won't smell. No burnt/alcoholic smell like other self tanners, due reaction to dha. You can be sure it won't cause you any embarrassment!Advices: exfoliate the skin, moisturize, and apply with the help of a mitt.Here's a photo of my forearm after 2 applications about the size of a hazelnut.

I never usually write reviews on self tans as I think they react very differently according to skin type and I feel that they are something you need to try for yourself. But for this one I make an exception - I have naturally red hair hair and fair skin which burns and never tans in the sun. Self tans always seem to look orange and really dry my skin out and I have probably tried hundreds of different ones over about 30 years. So I ordered NYK1 for the first time with all of the hopes and expectations I have had every time I have tried a new product in my search to find the perfect self tan for me. Really happy to report that NYK1 delivers on all of its promises, easy to apply & quick drying, no smell even while it is developing, no staining even on white clothing, does not look orange and no dry skin even after a few days. Really really impressed thank you.

Tan seems to be developing ok. Downside no colour guide and the smell is awful, like vinegar! Other downside is it takes 6-24 hours which is crazy long!Jury still out on this. I’ll update soon.

Claims to last ten days. Lasted 4. Says it doesn't go patchy. It went patchy after 4 days. Claims to be suitable for working out, even swimming, it came off my feet, from just walking in socks and boots. Claims to have no nasty smell. It's mild but, it does smell nasty. Claims to have no stickiness and you can dress right away. It was sticky for at least half an hour and as it takes 2-3 coats and it has to dry between it takes ages to apply and lots of the naked tan dance 😂 required. It lasts slightly longer than a £5 one, but, fades worse and is a pain to apply and remove as it does not fade evenly, so you have to scrub the hell out of the darker patches. It's nowhere near what they say and not worth the price. I am a regular fake tanner and I've used lots of different brands. I know how to prep and never have any issues with other tans, in about 10 years, of fake tanning. To be completely fair, the mit was fantastic and the tan went on very even and stayed that way for 3 days, but, I bought this for a holiday. Luckily I did a trial run weeks before, as I was duped by the false claims. Not happy.

Hi!-Thank goodness for a non-tinted product.The tinted ones come off onto everything and look dreadful.The colour result with this one is very good.However,I think that this product needs thickening up for ease of application.The foam dissolves immediately into tan 'water' and runs down legs and splashes all over the place.I have just ordered a tanning mitt which I think my help this from happening.With the addition of a thickener that evaporates, or that is quickly absorbed, this product would be great.Meanwhile I would say a mitt is essential unless you want streaks and drips.

I've been trying a few tanning products for the last months: FakeBake, he-shi, L'Oreal Sublime Bronze and now the NYK1.I have to say that the best by by difference where the FakeBake and the NYK1. We're talking about about a male person with dark skin features - originally from Barcelona, that says it all - so keep it in mind people with different skin type please.The he-shi proved to be pretty useless on me, and the L'Oreal even worse: useless and extremely oily and unpleasant to use.The FakeBake is fantastic, but it gives you a very dark tone from the very moment of the application (as it's brown colour) that washes off after a shower. Ideal for some instant tanning but dangerous if you apply it at night and go to the office the next day pretending to have had an overnight trip to Bahamas as an excuse to justify the sudden super darker colour.The NYK1 works in a softer but more subtle way: it adds colour gradually, so you can better measure the amount of brown colour you want to get depending on the amount of days - consecutive or not - you apply it.In terms of the colour of the tan itself, I'd say that the FakeBake probably looks better, more natural, browner.The NKY1 looks nice as well but slightly more on the orange side..The L'Oreal did nothing too substantial to me, and same for the he-shi.Hope the above helps you guys/girls to choose the correct product... as you can see, it tool a while and several attempts - and money!! - to me.
