Excellent Choice
Excellent for small kitten(s)! I got the Small for an abandoned kitten i’m raising. It’s perfect. It’s very easy to assemble, and unlike some others here I find it to be very good quality. It’s ultralight so moving it around the house is a breeze and i’m dealing With a broken vertebrae. I read others had zipper issues and thus far I cannot say the same. The zippers are sturdy and I’ve been putting them thru their paces. The mesh is strong and durable and hasn’t relented to small sharp claws yet. I do feel the kitten is completely secure and safe when I place her in it and I have zero fear of her getting out. I have yet to need to fold it back up for storage and yes it does look tricky but I kept the diagram instructions and i’m sure I’ll figure it out.EDIT: Folding back up was a success and fairly easy! I think some reviewers here may be forgetting to remove the poles before folding it. Just remove them and follow the provided diagram :)

Good and easy to set up
This is a really good replacement for a metal crate. I had a nice metal crate that looked hideous and I kept bashing my knee on it, or hurting my back when I had to move it. I really wanted to get rid of it but my two small labradoodles were really anxious and need to hide out every so often when there is a crowd or it gets loud. This worked as a good subsitute -- they really took to it well, it fit the same pad I had in my metal crate, and the quality seems really good. It is much safer to deal with on a day to day basis and folds up into nothing. I also like that you can open it from two sides or the top, and shade out part of it easily. A really good buy. Also very easy to assemble and disassemble; you could easily take it with you if you wanted to in a small tote bag.

The rave reviews don’t lie!
I bought this nearly a year ago. I came back to confirm that it’s worth the rave reviews😍! Bought as a temporary replacement for a sturdier travel crate but this quickly became our go-to for vacations. We’ve taken this on multiple extended vacations with our small dog and it’s the perfect home away from home for him. This is perfect for non chewers and dogs that don’t challenge fences. Not recommended for chewers or energetic dogs. We leave our crate trained dog in it when we go out to non dog friendly places on vacation. The crate is a well built tent style that holds up nicely given the Materials and price. Folds and Fits into carryon beautifully. Zippers lock and plenty of ventilation. It is very lightweight and the tent fits nicely in a hotel room or just about anywhere. I like that I don’t have to worry about accidents in a hotel room and the dog seems safe and comfortable in it. No padding or sturdy bottom so small blanket recommended. It can flip on its side if the dog jumps on the inside wall, like if he’s excited to see you before you can let him out. We have had water bowls inside tip over as a result but the bottom is water resistant and a sit command solved the problem for us. Ours will probably wear out in 2-3 years with fairly heavy use (4 or 5 road or plane trips per year with a mostly calm dog) but I will buy the same thing again when that happens.

Also useful as a foster kitten kennel
I actually used this for a foster kitten and found that it worked quite nicely as a short-term kennel. It seems like most pet playpens are hexagonal in shape, which I have not found very practical for organizing or cleaning. The rectangular shape made it simpler to tuck bedding, food/water bowls, and a litter box into separate corners. Kittens tend to make a mess when litter box training, so I used both washable whelping and disposable pee pads on the bottom to make daily cleaning more efficient and keep the bottom of the playpen itself unsoiled. And since whelping and disposable pads are usually rectangular, it's far easier to fit them neatly into a rectangular playpen than a hexagonal one.The medium sized playpen (approx. 31x23x21") was perfect for the foster kitten when she was very small, but once she was about 8 weeks old it was clear that she needed more kennel space. She became accustomed to being able to run around a room with some older foster kittens and explore the common areas of the home while supervised, so being stuck in the kennel at night must have started to feel restrictive. She became restless and vocal in her objections. So I transferred her to the large size (approx. 43x33x23") of same kennel, and she was much more content with her accommodations after the upgrade.Assembly is quick and easy. The vertical support rods make the sides pretty sturdy, and the only real structural weakness is the top. The other foster kittens would jump up and run across it, pushing the middle down. The 12 pound resident cat attempted it once, and it pushed the top down to the bottom like an elephant sitting on a small trampoline. It's just not built to have weight exerted on it. The side panels made of netting snagged a little but held up surprisingly well to the tiny death blades when she climbed up them "Ninja Warrior" contestant-style. After the foster kitten was adopted, trying to fold the shell back into the proper flat shape to fit into the storage pouch proved to be the biggest issue I had with this product. I tried to follow both the diagram and the written instructions, but repeatedly couldn't get it quite right. I ended up with a slightly wonky result and concluded, "Oh well, that's probably good enough..."

Perfect for traveling
Perfect for traveling! Folds up small enough to pack in a carry on luggage. Assembly is similar to camping tent and goes up quickly. I put a blanket over the top so it is dark and cozy, plus a fluffy blanket on the bottom for my dog as it doesn’t have any padding otherwise. Nice and breathable- I feel my dog can get proper circulation and has enough room to move around. You can’t throw it in the wash machine which is a little annoying, but I wipe it down with a clorox wipe after vacuuming it and so far it’s worked for cleaning. Most importantly, all the zippers have locks! My dog did escape the first time when I didn’t lock the zippers- but lesson learned! It keeps my 7lb maltipoo safe, but I imagine bigger dogs could get through it with more force to break zippers or scratch through the netting.
