Excellent Little Unit
Power, network, HDMI external didplay, and 2x USB devices all using just one USB-C connection to my laptop.Worked within seconds with no setup required.Only minor point is that there's no 3.5mm for audio. An external USB sound card could be used, but as I use this mainly for development there's no real need. Will definitely be getting another for the mobile office in my motorhome.

works OK but network Port has intermittent problem on Yoga laptop
The product is solid and well constructed, connects my Yoga to a large UHD screen and has a number of USB devices connected that work well. The only area that it seems to fail on is the network adapter. IT works fine for a while then seems to loose connectivity even though still active.I have switched to using a separate USB network adapter connected to a separate USB Hub and that appears to work fine.I like Startech accessories and don't usually have a problem with them so its proved to be a bit of a disappointment.

Really good, have worked very well
I changed jobs (contract ended) in the middle of this plannedemic and my new job required me to have two laptops.Due to space contraints I ended up working on the sofa using monitor mount system where I have a large MSI curved screen mounted above the two laptops. To keep things clean and to reduce all the connectors coming out from the sides of the laptops, I bought two of these adapters. My criteria were:- HDMI port- power passthrough- USB C Thunderbolt 3- Card reader- Gigabit LAN (wired)- Standard USB 3 portsI've been using these since July last year (8 months) and have had no issues at all.One of the laptops is fully powered though one of these (Lenovo T490S) and has only one connection on the side with the adapter sat on the back of the laptop arm mount making it really easy to get the two laptops side by side. The other laptop is a bigger machine that can't be powered using Thunderbolt passthough but all other connections go into this adapter thats attached on the back of the mount.I have gigabit LAN directly to both machines so I dont have to irradiate my brain with microwave radiation all day (wireless is off).I use these machines all day 5 days a week and these adapters have been excellent.

Don't overload it!
This isn't a cheap dock, so I expected it to cope with what I wanted it to do. But it doesn't.I've attached a 1080p Webcam, desktop speaker, 1440p monitor, and GB Ethernet cable. It runs fine for a while, then it starts to get hot, and when it gets hot it drops the monitor connection. Even when I'm not using the webcam and speaker, it still starts to drop the HDMI connection after a while. Apparently, GB Ethernet plus a 1440p monitor is too much for it.

Returned due to incompatible
Sorry can't do much of a review as I had to send the unit back due to it not being compatible with my tablet, it looked a nice, well made item though.

some problems...
HDMI port in adapter doesn't work on Toshiba laptop with USB-C port, on MacBook Pro 2016 is working fine. USB and memory card are working fine on both laptops.

Works great with ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen2 (running Linux)
As promised, everything works. I recently ordered a new ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen2 from Lenovo, and ordered one of these to go with it, because while I like the Nano's small size, it only has 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports. I've tested USB 3 and 2 connectivity, the integrated gigabit NIC, the SD card slot, USB-PD and HDMI (via DP alt mode). Everything just worked as promised, no extra drivers needed. Modern Linux kernels have the "r8152" driver, which supports the Realtek NIC, and using "iperf" to test its speed consistently comes in at around 880-890 Mbps. Good job, StarTech.

Works as advertised
This device brings together a bunch of different ports with a single USB-C connection - no more need for extra adaptors. I am satisfied and have had no problems with it.
