JBL 18” Subwoofer 2000 watts
Did a school dance 4/2/2025 used 2 QSC speakers and 1 JBL sub-woofer 18” sub had to run the 2 QSC at a lower bass to be able to match the subwoofer. Sound was all about the BASS students loved it, teacher loved it, and I was totally satisfied for our first show. Will be ordering another one soon to even out the bass throughout the crowd.

Jbl Prx912 update
I bought and uploaded the new 10/1/23 firmware which solved all the previous issues people were complaining about, no more premature clipping, more full power, bass boost and other improved dsp options let me use 1 prx912 for a solo keys and singing gigs without having to buy a sub prx915xlf. I bought the prx912 over the prx one stick/sub unit because i like the independence of having separate components so that i can always upgrade or add options to the system and or if a component fails i can always pickup a mixer or another speaker. These JBL's are warranted for 7 years no need to buy extended warranties. These prx912 get very loud without clipping, the trick is to adjust the volume and gain per channel and adjust the final volume large knob to get the most power out of the unit...There are very few reviews for prx 912 however I can tell you as of 10/11/23 jbl has updated the firmware so that they do not clip early As they did before and all the other issues people in the last year complained about have gone away. The jbl app has changed to pro connect app firmware takes about 35 minutes to upload to the speaker that corrects all the previous issues, trust me I Bought two of them i'm satisfied. I used the for playing keyboards and singing for a solo gig I don't

Replaced my PRX615 with these
I owned a pair of PRX 615 with the crown amps for 8 plus years, and loved them, they never let me down after hundreds of gigs. I have dropped them (though they were always in cases), but they never let me down. I have them paired with my PRX715 XLF subs ,and I also have a pair of EON 612 which I use for small events or as a monitor.I decided to upgrade my tops when I saw the PRX915 with 2000 peak watts come out. One of the main reasons where for aesthetics, as the 615's were always slightly crooked on the JBL branded poles (go figure). When I started using the PRX 915, they just seemed lacking, and at the very first gig I did they fell 3 feet and cracked at the base (they were in JBL cases). My old speakers have taken a much bigger beating without any noticeable damage. After several more gigs, I decided to buy a pair of RCF EVOX J8's and I am in love.I am now downloading the 5.0.4.0 firmware update to see if it resolves the clipping. If after several more gigs, I am putting them up for sale and giving up on JBL and switching to either a set of RCF EVOX 12's or EV ELX 12' top and EV 18" sub. I hope the firmware resolves the issue. If it does I will stay with JBL 915's and get a set of PRX 18" subs

WARNING! These speakers will let you down!!!!!
We perform many shows in front of 500-1000 people. We used to use prx515 and they were awesome. One died after 10yrs and no parts available. We bought these 915's to replace the 515's. They are much weaker, they clip easily and shut down. JBL customer service is no help. We used the prx 515 we had still and it blew away the 915's!!!!!! Do not buy these speakers because they will clip and shut down, the software is buggy and they will be much weaker. This is after 4 disastrous shows using the 915's. We are done with them and save yourselves!!!!!!
