Good product

This is a very poorly designed piece of kit. It resembles a giant hair grip. When the phone is gripped, it sits at at angle of about 45 degrees to the tripod mount. If you're using a small ball-grip tripod, forget it - you won't be able to angle the camera at all. You also won't be able to get the phone into portrait orientation. All in all, this is thoroughly useless.

The spring is not the strongest but should hold under normal usage. One thing to note is that once this is attached to a tripod/monopod, the camera can only point upwards at about a 20 degree angle (my best guess), so you can't use it to take pictures of anything horizontal. I guess it would be the perfect angle for selfies but most selfie sticks are cheaper than this and already come with the "stick" attached.

I bought this more to use my iPhone on a tripod rather than selfies etc.The item itself is pretty good quality and what I expected for the price. It holds my iPhone well, and I feel confident the phone won't fall out of the grip, and the padded inner arms feel like your phone is in safe hands... So not plastic on metal.An iPhone 6 will only sit in the clamp in landscape mode and slightly annoyingly the clamp sits on a tripod at a bit of an ankle, so you have to tilt the tripod up to get the iPhone level - not a big problem unless you try and rotate the tripod in order to get the iPhone in portrait, then your really testing the flexibility of your tripod head - and I couldn't manage it with my 2 tripods.Using the phone as a tripod mount camera in normal mode is not that easy - given you need to look through the clamp and in hindsight this was probably not the best choice of design for this purpose. But can't really mark it down for that.All in all good product for the price...

I brought this to fit onto a tripod stand, so that I could use it to hold a laser tool. Very happy.

Not very easy to position the phone where you want and snapped in my camera bag.

Fits my phone (Samsung S4). You have to watch that the clamp doesn't turn the phone off!The screw fitting is very close to the body, which makes it neat, but was too tight a fit to my tripod - the camera lens was pointed skywards. I bought a cheap extender which I could attach to the clamp & now it works like a charm

Great little clamp, very happy with the design, fits nicely on a mini tripod. I brought it to use for UX testing and so far it's saved me well
