Stinks to high heaven but works!
First thing that hits you is the very, very strong smell of the collar. The second is working out how to remove the staple without hurting yourself.Third is the collar is very stiff and tricky to thread through the latch. I had to thread it through first and then slip the collar over my cats head then slowly adjust to fit the right size. I then cut of the excess. My cat constantly howled, meowed and paced up and down. Very distressing to see. But within minutes, she seemed to calm down and appeared content. She is an affectionate, lap cat and loves snuggling upto me but the smell is so awful, I'm having to wear a face mask until the smell calms down.It is a strong quality product and I can see it has grooves in it, which I assume acts as a breakaway should she get caught somewhere.I think the price is excellent value for what it does.It is a good buy. Let's just hope the smell calms down after a while because I cannot have her in my bedroom, on my bed at the moment. The smell is just way too strong.

It's the worst cat collar I have ever purchased.
I have shopped around for a 'calming cat collar' and this is the worst I've found.1. The smell was overwhelming for both me and the cat.2. Opening it up, a staple pin had been left in the collar. Sharp and potentially harmful.3.Badly made, very difficult and stiff to adjust.4. It states it has a 'safety mechanism' which allows the cat to slip its head out of caught on something. Unless my cat has Harry Houdini as a father I don't see how that's possible!I'm very disappointed and for some reason it's not eligible for return? Finally I've really shopped the market for cat calming collars and this is the worst. Leaving me a very annoyed cat owner!

hard to adjust
quite hard to adjust for length so its quite traumatic for the cat fitting it and adjusting round their neck. it smells quite bad - not a pleasant smell to have around the house.time will tell if it works

We found these to be the best.
Second time purchase. BEST, most effective calming collar we have used. Easy to fit, starts to work within a few hours, lasts around 6 weeks but might notice lesser effects around 5 weeks. Can recommend this brand.

Stinks, doesn't seem to help my cat but helps me sleep great 🤷
Bought this for my cat as he is a very anxious and skittish cat, I've bought the treats and tried them and they work great, he was like a different cat and id even go as far to say they helped with his seizures, the only problem being that after a while he would refuse to eat them, so I would cut the sharp corners off and drop them down his throat and gently rub his neck till he swallows them.I bought the collar, home spray and another packet of treats this time as I'm currently in the process of moving out and I want him to have a smooth transition without him being severely stressed and possibly setting of his seizures more violently. The first thing I will say, the collar absolutely stinks, it smells like sports shoes that someone's been using as a sweat bucket. It does ware off after a while, but as someone who's sensitive to offensive smells, I felt nauseous and had a crappy headache for a couple hours. Also if you're sensitive to lavender, I wouldn't recommend. It's not actually lavender but it smells very similar.I haven't really noticed much of a difference in him since he's had it on, he's still very jumpy at sudden noises, and since he sleeps with me on a night I'd say it had more of an affect on me than him, the last few nights have been the best sleep I've had in ages.I'm gonna keep it on him just for the sake of the move and start up the treats again, I'm also gonna be spraying the new place religiously with the home spray and hopefully that works too.Just a side note, I wouldn't recommend for cats that have never worn a collar before especially older cats, if you want to try with kittens, try with a normal collar first till they get used to it and then try the calming collar. I just say that, because it is plastic and they could hurt themselves trying to chew it off.Overall probably won't buy the collar again but will definitely keep buying treats.
